What was the audience reception to the Reign of Terror?
Traumatized indifference.
>>19009531they just stopped watching raw
>>19009531The Reign of Terror really wasn't that bad and it set us up with that Batista story and title win so in the end it was well worth it
>>19009531Me and my friend Mark stopped watching.
>>19009596>The Reign of Terror really wasn't that bad and it set us up with that Batista story and title win so in the end it was well worth it
>>19009531Record ticket salesRecord merch movedLucrative TV deal signed in the middle of itHighest female audience ratings ever (gee, I wonder why)To name a few
>>19009614Triple H is one of the best heels of all time. Still got your ass seething 20 years later. You gonna cry about it?
>>19009656>>19009620>me when I'm a lying retarded faggot
>>19009531stopped watching for 10 years. I've stopped watching again since he start booking WWE.
>>19009531I don’t know how the reception was at the time, but I decided to watch it to see if it was really that bad, and I couldn’t stomach it past four months in. The people who’ve been watching the product every week since that era must really not have anything better to do with their time.
The only time in wrestling history the fans were both hardcore and not smarkyAttitude Era smarks all fucked off to TNA, ROH, and JP promotions while the product was still not kid friendly so there were no casuals. It was the only time WWE catered exclusively to dudebros and surprise surprise it created the last genuine crossover stars in the industry (Cena and Batista).Even Roman is just a wrestling guy. The decline started during the PG Era and it's been all downhill since then.
>>19009531>Oh boy another 20+ minute Haitch promo to open RAW.*mute*
>>19009531“You enjoying the show? All part of the show.”*click*
>>19009673You're a seething smark, that's a fact.
>>19010060Absolutely this. It was the last time wrestling was actually mainstream.
>>19010354>only smarks liked the gayn of terror >only smarks hated the gayn of terrorWhich is it, faggot?
>>19009531raw drew lower ratings than the B show
>>19009531I think it's very funny and fitting that WWE's biggest leader in viewer losses are Triple H when he was active then and Triple H when he's running the company now
>>19010358running off the fumes of the real high point of 2001 doesn't mean 2002 and 2003 wwe was popular or good
>>19009531It still sold out arenas, RAW was still the #1 show on cable, PPV sales dipped somewhat and wrestling cooled a bit but it's not like there was a mass exodus of fans.
>*waits till Thursday for SmackDown!Reign of what?
I didn't get why people were so mad. His name was Terror Ryzing... The foreshadowing was there.
