I would love to go back to the days when AEW fans were not watching wrestling and when NJPW, DDT, NWA, Ring of Honor and others had their stars back.

The reality is that wrestling was dead long before aew and all they have managed to do is parade the worst aspects of modern wrestling on cable television instead of ippv and DVDs where it belongs.

Last time wrestling was any good was in the mid to late 2000s. When multiple indies and Japanese promotions were having must watch shows multiple times a year. You could pretty much count on every major roh, CZW, chikara, pwg, Noah, new Japan, dragon gate, and big Japan show to deliver. Even wwe and tna would occasionally do something cool in spite of themselves. Now… maybe wwe books a match with a bunch of run ins that scratch your nostalgia just right. New Japan has a match where both wrestlers actually try. Or you hear about some dumb stunt aew tried and spectacularly failed to pull off and you just have to see it.
