My raw reaction to the press conference:

I’ve long said pro wrestling is at its best when it makes you feel something. Some sort of emotion that makes a moment, a match, a wrestler — something in it mean all the more.

Seeing Mayu’s emotions overcome her the moment IYO arrived is why this match, the moment they share the ring again, so special to myself and so many others. It’s a feeling you can’t just have in a moment. Rather, it’s one that develops over time. And it makes all of this so much better.

I said when this match was announced that this match means so much to me, and it was all proven right in this press conference before a word was even said between the two. Thank you to Mayu for showing why. That’s the GOAT right there.

This is a match to me that felt like the biggest of dreams. I’m not a fan of Joshi, hell, I am not a pro wrestling fan anymore without these two and what they created together and apart so many years ago through today. So yeah, this match does mean a lot to me. It’s everything when it comes to this fandom for me. Mock me for it, laugh, whatever — tomorrow is going to be everything, and nothing can shake me when it comes to this.
