What's the remaining life expectancy?
The looming possibility of a WBD sale makes it hard to predict. But what we know is AEW's TV deal has an option year running to the end of 2028, and even if they don't get it, they'd only need to spend one year floating around aimlessly in limbo to reach the 10th anniversary of the company (January 1, 2029) before folding.
If they do get the option year, Dynamite will just barely get to outlast TNA Impact's run on Spike which is a milestone, I guess. In general, AEW would need to survive until at least mid-2031 to outlast Turner's WCW, which is unforeseeable.
If they're cooked by then, I can see Tony running vanity PPVs into 2030 just so he can say AEW ran shows in 3 different decades, but AEW surviving to 2031 as a real promotion seems unlikely. The Khans are mega-billionaires though, so anything can happen.

Tony will create his own streaming platform if he has to. AEW will never go away until he gets bored with it. Tony is not out to make a profit, he's doing this for fun.

AEW won’t die as long as Tony continues funding it. Eventually AEW will be the largest professional wrestling promotion in North America after Saudi Arabia buys WWE.

It's hard to say. Collision and Dynamite are getting canceled due to low ratings in 2026 but losing its TV deal won't kill AEW. It'll stay "alive" as long as Shad keeps burning money to keep it on life support. When will he pull the plug? I have no idea.

Tony already pays for airtime
