Based Generational Heel Saya Kamitani. Proof that she is drawingbthe Wrestlekingdom house. BOW THE FUCK DOWN!!!
>>
>>19300231
27 different wrestlers have participated in the korakuen main event this year and all drew over 1,000 people. kamitani was only in 6 of them. what are you talking about?
>>
>>19299964
How is stardom growing with all the legends moving out of the fed?

*clears throat*

>>
>>19300558
Literally Saya. She's basically putting in the work like PG era Cena
>>
>>19300563
Selling more tickets doesn't necessarily mean making more money though. NJPW's costs are obviously bigger than Stardom's and since their roster doesn't draw except for a very special occasion they end up not making as much money as Stardom.
>>
>>19299964
It's not surprising. I've been telling people around here that Stardom is one of the most sound wrestling companies in the world at the moment but too many just dismiss that.
The tell-tale sign was Forbidden Door. The only Stardom contribution was Bozilla, despite Tony saying he wants more AZM and SLK. That tells me that Bushiroad is protecting Stardom at the moment in a way it isn't with New Japan - it's financially sound at the moment so they don't need gaijin exposure (and opening the door to top talents getting poached).
No, crowd sizes aren't at New Japan levels, but expenses are certainly far lower and they have a roster that can actually draw enough interest to turn a net profit.

The part of the equation this doesn't take into consideration is overall expenses.
You can turn a higher gross profit but if your expenses are too high you can still be losing money. There are a lot of factors that go into profitability that go beyond the gross amount of cash you're raking in.
>>
>>19300591
>>19300602
and what are these expenses you speak of?

okada's big contract? gone
1 million USD gate confirmed every Forbidden Door
ospreay's contract? gone
naito's contract? gone
They've shed a ton of expenses in the last couple of years
>>
>>19300591
NJPW roster can't draw flies to shit. what are you talking about, unc
>>
>>19300609
Yeah, they're probably in much better shape than they were coming out of the pandemic.
But, again, the article points out that it's Bushiroad's financials which state Stardom is more sound than New Japan. You're literally arguing against the company's finances and saying they're somehow wrong.
We don't know what salaries they're paying the workers they managed to retain. They probably have a higher advertising budget. They usually book bigger venues (one of the advantages of booking those small bingo halls is that they're dirt cheap in comparison to Korakuen). I can't imagine that anyone on the Stardom roster is making the same money that the bigger names on the New Japan roster are.
>>
>>19300609
Is forbidden door's gate split between AEW and NJPW?
>>
>>19300597
That's not cope that's very basic business knowledge. Bushiroad's financial results literally confirm that. Unless you're 15 years old or american you should be smart enough to figure that out.
>>19300609
They book bigger venues than Stardom most of the time, only to have them half-empty at best, they also booked the Tokyo Dome twice this year and Takaaki Kidani explictly said it was a failure and they lost money doing it. They shouldn't be losing that much money but somehow they still are and the financial report confirms it so it's their problem for being so bad at their job.
>>19300610
Read. I literally said they can't draw, unless it's a very special occasion like Tanahashi's retirement.

No, Kidani has specifically said that they get a flat 1 million USD payout from Forbidden Door every year as part of the deal
>>19300640
>They book bigger venues than Stardom most of the time, only to have them half-empty at best
lol shut the fuck up. In that image, Stardom has run 92 shows to NJPW's 109 (wow, so many more!) and they've basically tripled their attendance. But sure man, they're renting more expensive venues, that surely makes a big difference (retard)
>>
>>19300563
Why did dragon gate do so well last year?
>>
>>19300675
Are you shoot retarded?
Surely you understand the difference in the expenses of regularly running shows in Korakuen versus the expenses of the smaller gymnasiums Stardom usually uses?
Yeah, that shit adds up. And do you honestly think the joshis are getting paid the same as Shingo, ZSJ, Goto, Tsuji, Tana, and some of the other bigger names on the cards?
You know what - scratch that. You do seem too retarded to get that. Go on, keep arguing against the company's own financial statements that were put out by actual accountants familiar with the financial situations of the two companies.
>>
>>19300696
I don't know what joshi bugs make because I'm not a pedo.

However, I do know that NJPW mogs Stardom to death in attendance and revenue every single year and that's a FACT jack.
all you can do is say "ooohhh, look at the smoke stacks, that means--" SHUT UP, BITCH! Bring some hard numbers or don't come at all, joshipedo fag.
>>
>>19300706
I see a whole lot of seething on your part but I don't see a whole lot of reasoning or facts.

>>19300675
Why are you so defensive and crying like a bitch so much dude ? Does your dad work for NJPW or something ?
NJPW literally books much bigger venues and the Tokyo Dome is probably not cheap at all. The biggest venue that Stardom books is the Sumo Hall and if I'm not mistaken they only do it once a year meanwhile NJPW books big venues like that multiple times a year. Their G1 had very disappointing sales and they booked the Nippon Budokan twice, which was half empty both times so again they probably lost money with the G1 costs because you have to take care of the whole roster, all the expenses, booking a lot of venues you can't fill etc... I didn't say it was the only reason why they somehow make less money than Stardom, they clearly have some problems in the office so there has to be other reasons why they're so stagnant. Not my fault NJPW shows no growth dude.
>>
>>19300743
sure bro tell me more about how njpw is failing the year the sold out the tokyo dome for the first time in 25 years you fucking schizo lol
>>
>>19300728
Cry harder you dumb faggot.
>>
>>19300772
What the fuck is your problem? No one is looking for a console war here except you. No one is saying Stardom is the bigger company.
New Japan draws on a level no other company in Japan does. It has higher revenues. But numbers have been stagnant while Stardom numbers have been growing. That's just a fact.

You're coming off like a butthurt little bitch in this thread.

You got the bugsimps seethin with that one OG

Joshi is a draw unlike njpw
>>
A lot of great points but another I have to wonder is consumer spending. I suspect the average joshi fan drops a lot more money on buying merch than the average NJPW fan. It's probably easy for Stardom to crank out new merch, photobooks, meet and greets, and other shit that joshi fans will instantly pay big bucks for.
>>
>>19300772
You're the one having a meltdown and being so offended by NJPW not growing for some reason. Yes they sold out the Tokyo Dome for Wrestle Kingdom next year but it's not part of Bushiroad's financial report which is what is being discussed in this thread. Also let's not act like they have done that thanks to some of their young wrestlers gaining massive momentum. This is an exception due to their biggest star retiring so even if this is a great news for NJPW and it should make their first quarter very good, this is not the best indicator of how NJPW's business is usually doing.
>>
>>19300851
It's true, the fact is that there's undeniably a simp fanbase that doesn't exist with New Japan (at least not on nearly the same level) and merchandising to simps is highly profitable.
Which isn't to say that everyone who watches is a simp, but a lot are.

I've spent well over $3,000 on TJPW merch this year and another $2,000 on show tickets. I'm not joking or exaggerating. Yes, I consider this a badge of honor.

everyone who watches is definitely a simp, kek
>>
>>19300958
TJPW has never really been for me (Yeah, yeah, I'm a Stardrone) but I'd have to think they make bank on merch. I guess that's one of the advantages of being so character heavy.
>>
>>19300851
>>19300897
yep surely that's a big factor too
Stardom's photobooks are fucking expensive, it's crazy so much old perverts can buy this shit
>>
>>19300962
If you say so bro. I like them but I'm not really under any illusions that I'll ever date any of them. I just find it easy wrestling to watch given how dimeless everything else is these days.

Bushiroad is also moving numbers around. Kidani's clearly wanted to push it as the main thing over NJPW ever since he bought it because at heart he's still a greasy otaku and thinks Stardom's wrestlers will have sex with him if he makes them stars. It's not a coincidence that NJPW's decline lines up with Stardom's purchase and subsequent rise. He doesn't give a shit about it and knows the pujoshi will not want to fuck him so he's fine with it languishing.
