>TNA and ROH were both fucking awesome in the 2000s
>both fanbases hated the other
People like to talk about console wars now but holy shit TNA and ROH fans were a different breed in the 2000s. What made them so pissy?

If they were good, they wouldn't have imploded. No contrarian, they were never big enough draws.

ROHfags were the original group of fags that you commonly see today who like flippy shit and carry signs that say shit like “happy to be here” “I love wrestling” “enjoy wrestling” “trans rights”
TNAfags liked edgy retarded shit with occasional good wrestling

This. It all goes back to there.

There was none of that shit in the ROH I watched son. No one really liked TNA because they kept doing dumb stuff and taking talent from other promotions. They would screw over ROH a few times and did greasy shit like firing the kid who got paralysed. I don't really remember WWE fans really caring that much about TNA back then. You could argue WWE cared because they brought back ECW, but I don't really recall much console war shit from the fans.

I misread your post dawg. I thought you said people took faggy signs like that to ROH shows back then. If what you say is true and they are the same people then wrestling will be pretty much dead once these dudes start dropping off.

TNA was the AEW of its day. A lot of people clinging to an inferior product for inferior minds just desperate for wwe to have some competition.
ROH was really good for post 80s American wrestling. You’d be better off watching NOAH or Dragon Gate.

Best years of ROH were 2004-2007. And they only pure flippers were like special k and the British guys they brought in. Guys like red and the Maximos didn’t last.

Matches like this were an oddity in ROH after the first year. If this was in AEW it would be considered their best match ever.

ROH was people ripping off NOAH, then ripped off Dragon Gate.

In 2004, TNA temporarily pulled out of their talent sharing agreement with ROH because Rob Feinstein was busted for trying to meet an undercover cop posing as a 14 year old boy.
The partnership was reinstated after Rob was ousted and ROH ended up becoming way more successful under Cary Silkin's ownership, but it fucked over a lot of ROH's short-term booking plans and disappointed the fans, especially since AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels were main eventers in early ROH.
CM Punk got super over around this time because he left TNA and stuck "loyally" with ROH while it was being sold, which set the stage for his big heel turn storyline in 2005 when he shoot signed with WWE while he was ROH champ (the original Summer of Punk)

Tony might be able to draw a crowd for house shows if he emulated old school Japan and ran a Round Robin league and made matches important, instead hes just doing ROH with a (shrinking) budget

The first ever ROH match involved people beating the shit out of a gay character while the fans chanted "faggot" at him.

and it was funded by proven pedophile Rob Feinstein, jewish fella, who was jerking off the whole time

you're even more correct than you think you are
Slim J fucking rules to this day and he was one of the best things on AEW Dark when that show still existed. He's still young enough to get a proper run as the legendary TV jobber he was always meant to be

One of my favorite gimmicks of all time was the embassy using Jade Chung as their personal ring steps. She would get down on her hands and knees and Jimmy Rave would step on her to get into the ring. When she defied them they would beat the shit out of her, so prince nana was banned from touching her or else him and the embassy would get fired. Their solution? To start dragging her around by a dog collar.
Even your grimiest indie today would never even try something like that.
