its official: tna is heading to amc https://x.com/AMC_TV/status/1995674281603150287

didn't amc used to have good TV shows?
>>

The number 2 promotion is about to make it official
>>
>>19394622
That is fantastic for TNA. I wonder if the PPVs will move to AMC+.
>>
Not watching NXTNA I'm afraid. Good for them though. Hope they focus on building their own roster and maybe one day I'll give them another watch but not until the nxt shitters are gone.
>>
>>19394649
kek i feel the opposite, i haven't been enjoying nxt at all since the tna partnership. two sides of the same coin here heh.
>>
>>19394649
TNA desperately needs WWE. Their roster is so dire, and they lost most of the few big names they had this year. The WWE partnership is almost certainly what allowed them to get this TV deal, and it's helping them draw big houses for their PPVs. Hopefully they'll be able to use all this new attention to attract some free agents and help build up the company again, but for right now, having the NXT wrestlers on the show is an absolute necessity.
>>
>Say my name
>TNA! TNA! TNA!
>You're goddamn right
would be a based commercial
>>
I wish TNA would put their old eps on Youtube, those were fun to watch.
>>
AMC is losing buckets of money. I wouldn't expect a big money deal for TNA. But maybe more than AXS was paying them.

kek he's so based
>>

Yeah the roster is 90% washed or geeks but half these NXT guys on the show now are geeks too. They should go get a bunch of indie guys with potential that are willing to sign 3 years deals and start building them up. It's time to move on from the likes of EY and Kaz if they want anyone to give a shit.
>>
>>19394628
yea but they only would have 2-3 shows going at a time and then they made too many bad ones that people stopped caring about them.

now every show is about vampires like its the CW

This would be the best outcome for WWE, because it helps set a precedent for how much AEW could get in their future deals (because realistically they'll be drawing closer to TNA than WWE)

AMC is a pretty good channel isn't it? like good access across america? feels like the vast majority of people have AMC. though i'm not a ratings schizo so i'm not too keyed into % home access shit. any ratings schizos, tap in, lemme know.
but if it is, then TNA's fixed their #1 problem of their shit being literally unwatchable to 99% of people, which is great for them.
the #2 problem still persists, however - their shit is now figuratively unwatchable because their roster is legitimately, totally beyond garbage. who are their big names? ziggler? tessa? kaz? santana? moose? wes lee?
i bet the goal is to eventually move to wednesdays to fight dynamite (the 1/15 date given is still a thursday) but unless they stack TNA with top main roster talent week after week, i can't imagine it'll come out on top with that horrific roster. there's just no reason to watch if all WWE is sending over is like kelani jordan and lexis king to get reps.
>>
>>19394622
Good news for the real secondary promotion
>>
So this confirms Thursdays
>>
>>19394622
hoping they use the money to improve production, it doesn't look that bad currently but when AAA looks better than you then it's a issue.
>>
>>19395173
i would so much rather watch a AAA weekly show than TNA
when is carder getting that shit on tv
>>
>>19395131
In just over 60m homes
>>
will this news or today’s likely dynamite ratings release be worse for aewtists?
>>
AMC kind of sucks now doesn’t it?
>hey guys, we used to have Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead, which ended up being shit in the end
>>
>>19395173
>it's a issue.
Didn't stop them from getting a deal
>>
>>19395592
They have some relatively hit shows and critically acclaimed stuff. I think the issue is cord cutting and most hits being on streaming platforms and the huge costs of doing these shows. If TNA can do like 500k it would probably be a great deal for them seeing as NXT was more expensive and completely saved CW.
>>
>>19395173
they'd need to sign some wrestlers people actually want to watch cause they signed a "partnership" where WWE take all their half decent talent. no one is watching dolph ziggler or frankie kazarian.
>>
>>19394714
I really don't understand this man, why not just watch what you enjoy?
>>
>>19395706
Who are these people available for them to sign?
>>
>>19395716
He is a gigantic WWE and NXT fan, but that makes him a small fish in a big pond, screeching about AEW and hating WWE fans guarantees at least a little attention coming his way. That's the reality of most of these people and why they always know everything that happens on WWE and why there is no organic discussion of anything else and they actively try to shut down any discussion of anything other than WWE and AEW.
>>
>>19395131
AMC is in WAY more homes than their current channel, although AMC doesn't have anywhere near the prestige it used to. It used to have Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Walking Dead (which was a very acclaimed show at first). It doesn't have all the hits it used to, and they have a low tier streaming service that apparently has some good shows but has terrible picture quality. Still, even though AMC isn't what it used to be, this is a game changer for TNA.
>>
>>19395622
The AMC linear channel is included in the AMC+ streaming service, so there will still be a cheap way to watch it even if you don't get AMC in a cable package, which would be good.
>>
>>19395760
The Western show and the Vampire Diary one are supposedly very good
>>
>>19395765
Just looked it up, 6.99 a month isn't bad plus you can get it using Amazon Prime which I have.I wonder if it includes PPV's.

>>19395788
I'm curious about the PPVs as well. But yeah you can subscribe through everything. You can get it as part of Apple TV, Roku, whatever you've got. Plus you get better picture quality that way than through AMC's own app. That's the biggest drawback of AMC's app. The picture sucks and it's glitchy. But I think if you pay for the content and just get it through a different app, that pretty much solves the problem.

>>19395779
I've heard that too. I guess if TNA goes to AMC I'll have an excuse to watch them. Rectify is on there too and that's an amazing show.
>>
>>19394920
Why would WWE want to devalue wrestling? AEW getting huge deals is good for WWE because they both sell the same thing.
>>
>>19395765
AMC+ is worth it relative to other services. They also have classics like madmen and a ton of random shitty horror movies.

They have a good library for sure. And adding wrestling will be good for them because a live show with no off-season is great for reducing churn. Carlos Silva's been saying he wants the new TV deal to allow them to truly go live 52 weeks a year instead of airing mostly pretaped Impact shows like they have been.

So I don't know if it means anything, but in 2024, when the NXTNA stuff was just kind of starting, they offered a deal where you could get the Bound for Glory show and TNA+ for the rest of the year. If you didn't cancel, it renewed as an annual subscription just before TNA Genesis this year. If you jumped on at Bound for Glory 2024 and stayed subscribed, the subscription ends on January 17th, which is right after this AMC thing starts. I think it would be phenomenal if all the PPVs went to the AMC+ app. If the weekly show goes to AMC but you still need TNA+ for the big shows, that wouldn't be as good, but still it would be big news for TNA.
>>
>>19395806
>Why would WWE want to devalue wrestling?
It's not that they want to, they just don't care if that's a byproduct of their other goals.
>>

>>
It's a big win for TNA. More people will see it and have access to it.

I really want to know what their taping and PLE schedule is going to look like now. Both are big problems that lead to bad TV and PLE's. That has to be fixed.

TNA and WWE also have to come to some kind of better set-up. WWE can't be taking TNA stars and giving them nobodies in exchange if they want them to do good enough to keep the TV deal.

TNA also needs to do a much better job creatively. We've only had like 2 shows with all fresh new content since the last PPV. That's not gonna fly. Kazarian is the current champ. That wouldn't have went over well when he was in his prime, yet alone now. They just made their top face Mike Santana look like a fool. They don't have a lot of young and up and coming talent. If nothing else, TNA needs to find like 5 new male wrestlers, throw them on TV and see if they can get over.
>>
>>19395913
>no more random TNA people on NXT all the time

>Thursday Night Impact! will be available to stream on AMC+.
Based. Still no word about the PPVs though.
>>
>>19395969
The understanding with Netflix/USA is that deals were signed with the intention of WWE acts staying on WWE shows. Netflix is not paying $500M/year so AJ Styles or others can be lent to TNA for weeks at a time.

There's also the fact that while the WWE-TNA partnership is in place, WWE has a right to match all offers to purchase the company. TNA landing a TV deal makes the company worth much more money, either as an outright purchase or taking on additional investors/capital. So the best thing for TNA to do is get out from under WWE's thumb as quickly as possible so they can raise more funds and target a few free agents so they can make a big splash early next year.

cable companies used to have really restrictive budgets when it came to making new shows/seasons. I'd imagine it's worse now. There's some whole thing about different shows on the scifi channel would get canceled or go on hiatus because the channel as a whole would only have x budget per year for all of their new programing combined.
I don't think anyone has any budget at all now due to the lack of viewership on any given channel or streaming service, no DVD sales and the interest rate changes compared to a few years ago

I don't think so. When they got their new deal with SportsNet, people in Canada couldn't watch it live on TNA+. Episodes get added a couple weeks later I think. I feel like people should've known that WWE played a part in getting them the deal, though I guess them not being on Wednesday might've made people overlook it. >>
A wrestling promotion succeeding is a positive. More competition is good. More places wrestlers can work is good. That said TNA will need to start building up their own roster a bit and not be totally dependent on NXT but that isn't impossible if they start scratching around the indies a bit.

I do think AMC is in a weird spot. The kinds of shows they used to be known for aren't really on basic cable anymore. All those shows go to streaming services now, including AMC's own streaming service. But sports are sticky and are great for discouraging churn, which is why every streaming service is trying to get sports now. I think it'll be a good deal for AMC. Most wrestling fans are probably already getting AMC in their TV package, and if you're not, AMC+ will air the show too and it's not a particularly expensive streaming service.

Wheels is punch his wall again isn't he?
>>

He's a depressive autistic with zero interests outside of Pro Wrestling. Like no kidding, has anyone seen this guy express even the slightest amount of joy throughout the posts on here and Twitter? Completely absorbing yourself in one single thing is insanely unhealthy and he's proof.

Nah. Santana, Slater and The Hardyz seem like they will go to WWE soon. Then you've got Dolph, Ali and Moose, but after that there's not really anyone to care about.
>>
>>19410356
Still better than gAyEW
>>
250K debut that only trends downward. Probably cancelled preemptively like they were on Destination American. Boring.

I stopped watching wrasslin after the gay invasion in 2003 (?). Since 2020 I watch AEW. I enjoy it. I only watch some Dynamites and the PPVs. I don't pay for it. Always wanted to check out TNA. I'll be watching when it's on AMC. I'll torrent it, of course.

Lmao. TNA is really moving to cable meanwhile AEW is in limbo and probably losing their TV deal. You just can't make this shit up. I'd feel bad for AEWfags if they weren't such retarded cultists. If they had any standards whatsoever maybe this wouldn't have happened.

Kek AEW will be the only USA based promotion with no tv/streaming deal.

Well technically when they have to stream on twitch for bits and subs is still streaming.
>>
>>19444751
Tony is making his own streaming service since nobody else wants his shows

Will wheels blow his brains out or just wheel himself off of a bridge when TNA beats AEW?
>>
>>19394675
Speedball was the glue holding the entire thing together I am afraid so. When he left and turned into a homo trannyfucker it formed a dark cloud over TNA. Can love balloon even on the battlefield? WWE was the silver lining at the edge of that big gay Hong Kong fooey cloud. Former rivals now in allegiance. WWE saved TNA and wrestling. Rebuilding the damage Tony Khan has done is a large task but together it's possible
