The opposite is totally fine, though…” It seems this strange feeling has exploded several times even recently. It all started back in middle school, when she first saw a friend leave only the pizza crust and was shocked by it.>“It was such a traumatic moment that I seriously think I must’ve been a pizza crust in my past life!” That’s how strongly the scene seemed to have affected her. The same thing happened with a colleague from her days as a bus tour guide—Shino got angry at someone for the first time in her life. The phrase she blurted out then, “Because I want us to stay together forever, please don’t leave your pizza crust,” has become almost like her catchphrase. The important part, of course, is the first half. She doesn’t want to drift apart because of pizza crust; she wants to protect the friendship, so she forces down her emotions and shapes them into words.>Instead of just getting angry at someone one-sidedly, the fact that she chose to express it in such a way is very typical of Shino. Time passed, and about a month ago, something similar happened. When she was eating with her close friend Yuki Arai, Arai also left only the crust.

The president of YU-M Entertainment, which manages the Up Up Girls, had left his pizza crust. When Shino saw that, she genuinely panicked—“The president who employs me was doing the one thing I absolutely can’t forgive”—and suddenly burst into tears.>Since Arai and the Up Up Girls members were seated nearby, she told them, “There’s pizza crust left and it’s really hard for me,” and everyone laughed sympathetically, saying, “Yeah, that would be tough.” As they continued watching the president, he left another slice in the same condition… “I thought, I can’t take this anymore! and was about to tell him directly… and then—Kamifuku, who was sitting next to me, had left hers too! She’d left a bit of the toppings, so I could barely tolerate it, though (laughs). But when I said something, she went, ‘Okay, okay!’ and ate it all in one go. Then the president sitting across from me noticed too. When I added the line ‘because I want us to stay together forever,’ he ate it as well. And when I said I wanted an apology, he told me, ‘Sorry for leaving it.’”
