let's be real, the WWF took a lot of shortcuts with that Deadly Games tournament at the 1998 Survivor Series.despite those shortcuts, I still think Deadly Games is one of the best tournaments in WWF/E history.way better than the "Last Time is Now" tournament for sure

at least The Rock was able to make an impact and break through with the Deadly Games tournament, while Gunther will never get any benefit for retiring Cena on the final match at SNME, it's not gonna restore Gunther's aura (not after he lost it by being made to look like a goof against Pat McAfee and Michael Cole at Backlash earlier this year, not even retiring Goldberg helped get Gunther's aura back)
>>19401854Because it's too obvious that he's winning. Rock got massively over because of the shock value of the heel turn. Some kind of swerve has to happen with Cena's last match or else it will be wasted. I'm just not sure if HHH has what it takes in terms of creativity.
