For a while his gimmick that he was booed, so instead of the wrestler getting over with a good promo that riles the crowd, the wrestler puts the crowd over by pretending to struggle to talk over their "booing", which isn't really real booing if you think about it. They made Jey Uso a world champ, so there are not really any standards anymore. Jamie Noble and Nidia were more entertaining as a trashy couple than Dom and Liv and even they were not IC title worthy let alone main event worthy. It shows how far the bar has been lowered without Vince. At least nepo-babies in the past like Roman and Orton LOOKED like stars. Austin Theory is one of the few younger guys who at least looks like a main eventer (and -- surpise, surprise -- he was a "Vince guy") but he needs an entertaining character and dialogue which he will almost certainly not be given. The only younger guy they have currently who is main event worthy is Logan Paul -- a Youtuber. Its too hard now apparently for WWE to recruit tall, in-shape white bois and mold them into stars.
