>>19435588It's not that because the women in at least the 2000s were just as good. Dave has always been a mark for fast-paced matches with lots of high spots and big moves. '80's AJW was a lot faster than most every other promotion and '90s AJW was arms race sprint stuff and he thought Toyota was hot which was the big thing. His lack of interest in joshi basically coincides with Toyota slowing down her style in the late '90s because her style had finally caught up to her. Once his waifu wasn't wrestling the reckless spotfest style he liked, he moved on even thoug joshi still had plenty of attractive athletic women (Momoe Nakanishi in AJW, Ai Fujita, Ayako Hamada and KAORU in ARSION for example).
