Kevin "The Axe" Nash
>>19443085Yeah I know no more magical mind reading or magical lariats to the back (not the neck pricks)
HEY!
Can we ever get back to Proper Nash Discussion? I feel like his title as the "Lowest Drawing WWE Champion" is completely unwarranted and would like to make my case one day.
>>19443134
>>19443085/pw/ told me Nash was slow and lazy in the ring, but I watched his old matches and can confirm that Nash was rapid.
>>19443134He was the lowest thoughHe nearly tanked the entire company
Detective Emiru of twitch
>>19443196He was the Champion during the Lowest Era, but he drew more than Bret and Shawn during the same period. People like to excuse Bret and Shawn because they went on to draw more in 97, however conveniently leave out that 97 was huge because of what Nash achieved in WCW with the nWo.
>>19443214WCW ain't the WWF though
>>19443233That's why it's so unfair to Nash. He started the hottest period in wrestling history that Shawn and Bret benefited from.
>>19443214>he drew more than Bret and Shawn during the same periodnot really
>>19443254Timing and looks
>>19443254Hogan was the draw in the nWo. Nash just happened to be there.

>>19443259Well now just happen to be the last oneHighlander rules
>>19443259Cringe at your pathetic knowledge.Would nWo have been as big without Hulk Hogan's heel turn? probably not. The fact remains however Kevin Nash & Scott Hall had already engaged the marks 6 weeks prior to Hogan turning heel. Before Nash & Hall arrived Hogan would do everything in his power to avoid wrestling in cities where crowd reaction was likely to be unfavourable. When Nash & Hall did arrive Hogan was on hiatus filming a movie they became the hub around which WCW revolved. Moreover their presence in WCW shift television ratings to a new high. For the first time ever Monday Nitro was consistently pounding Monday Night Raw into oblivion & they not the great Hulk Hogan were responsible. This created a problem. Nash & Hall had surpassed him as the leading drawing cards in the organisation & this, assuming they were able to sustain their momentum would lessen Hogan's bargaining power when his contract came up for renewal in November 1996. Problem number two: Nash & Hall were cool, fresh & entertaining. Hogan was not.Nash & Hall were the in forward thinking minds who were in tune with pop culture - their contributions to the nWo angle were MONSTEROUS behind the scenes (both WCW head booker Kevin Sullivan & WCW President Eric Bischoff have publically attested to that). Nash & Hall didn't need Hogan.Hogan NEEDED Nash & Hall. Had they not left the WWF but Hogan still turned heel he probably would have joined the Dungeon Of Doom to feud with the The Booty Man.As monumental as Hulk Hogan turning heel & joining the nWo was, once again I reiterate the game changers were Scott Hall & Kevin Nash. You only have to look at the Dungeon of Doom shit Hogan was involved in prior to Hall/Nash arriving to figure this out not.
>>19443262I don't get why marks still parrot that Nash was the lowest drawing champion 30 years later. Vanilla midgets did way worse but they were exused because they were fighting champions.
