In the old days, people had to keep they gay desires closeted. Gay porn could get you in serious trouble. So gay dudes watched pro-wrestling - fake bouts with big beefy dudes physically exerting dominance over one another. It existed to scratch an itch.As gays came out of the closet and found themselves able to be themselves in public, along with gay porn having less of a societal stigma and being readily available online, pro-wrestling began to die a slow, horrible death.Which goes to show, the only way wrestling will ever be popular again is if we force the homos back into the closet.

>>19460886Could be a factor but very minor and more of the production side where 4:3 broadcasts often presents wrestlers larger than they actually were, the arenas and the crow. The HD era made wrestlers and venues look smaller and it for me it does not the same big match feel you see in 90s television

Example okada will shoot hit 3 rainmakers and if the opponent manages to kick out of the third, then he will lose the match per opponents way. At least AEW follows this realistic wrestling style where wrestlers test each other's limits for taking and kicking out of moves / finishers. It's not scripted mac'n'slop like wwe.
