Alvarez's whole act is painfully transparent. No shit Je'Von is going to be a big deal for WWE. They've already made it clear he's got a good future there. With that comes the obvious process of WWE building him up so he can have big moments and a meaningful career. Alvarez will make the obvious claims that Je'Von is a star and should be pushed. Which no one will argue and everyone will be like 'yeah hey Alvarez is right.' Here's where the grift comes in. While WWE is taking their time and building him up to make him exactly that, Alvarez will take every moment along that way where they haven't yet already put the belt on him or pushed him to the top yet to undermine NXT or WWE or whoever and fly off the handle over it and those same people will be like 'yeah hey Alvarez is right' and he can paint them out to look incompetent

Because it's a grift. How does someone who's watched as much wrestling as him and has been watching as long as him not understand how some of the most basic booking works? If you watch NXT or Smackdown or any of the other WWE shows they've already put Je'Von on and you think they're not going to belt this guy up and give him some big crowning moment then you're either shoot retarded or beyond hopeless. Alvarez has just created a strawman around Je'Von where if they don't put a belt on him and book the entire company around him immediately then it's all shit and makes no sense and they should just shut the company down. Not only that but with house shows effectively phased out there's a lot less wear and tear on their bodies which allows their bump cards not to fill as fast and lets them actually have those longer careers.
