What if he's actually a genius?
>>19479641then he migrated here from Planet Retard
>>19479641He's been told he can maybe come back for one match in a few years if he looks out for his health. He's going to have Gunther retire as many people as possible. Then come back in a loser retires match against Gunther, win, retire Gunther, then retire anyways.
>>19480645genius
>>19480645>He's been told he can maybe come back for one match in a few years if he looks out for his health.Good, we won't have to worry about that.
>>19480685Is it bad if I sorta already have this build at age 27?
>>19480713Paul's excuse is the roids, what's yours?
>>19480925too many bbcs
>>19479641I don't hate that Cena lost to Gunther, is a perfectly reasonable outcome once you process it. But I dislike how it happened, mainly a few points.>No buildupThey fucked up the dates from the beginning, they burned the first dates so fast that they had to rush the last matches, a retire match works when you know the old guy is still strong but his adversary is almost equal in powerlevel. Despite gunther's monster run, he came in feeling like he still wasn't on Cena's level because of his loses against Jey and Punk (Cena beat both), all the buildup Gunther had to make him look strong was a meh promo.>the endingCena smiling before tapping out felt dumb, like he did it deliberately, if that was intentional, why would they give the impression that Cena quit when he could've fought more?>the messageI suppose this one is more subjective, but I feel John's message of not giving up should've gone larger than life, larger than John himself, I mean wrestling is fucking fantasy, and John mainly appealed to children, giving a reality check to children this way just feels evil, sure it's what happens on actual sports and other media (fucking Cars 3), but building up this much to give a bitter ending just feels wrong, it leaves you with a full sour taste unlike Ric or Shawn
>>19479641He's worked everyone and the HHH unretirement tour will be kino when the Game absolutely crushes guys like Gunther, Lesnar, the Rock, Roman etc. There's been huge buildup for this.
>>19479641Paul occasionally has good ideas. Tonight was proof.
>>19481086The build was the tournament marking the future of the company, Cena in a promo with Gunther before retirement would just have the crowd shit all over him in a bad way.Cena knew it was over and accepted it. That doesn't change the decades of Cena being the man and never giving up, but there is an end to everything. Cena had a tragic ending to create a huge moment and have things actually change as a result of it. Most other retirements are under the pretense of 'going out on your back' but don't really do much. Gunther is going to have monster heat from now on and always be remembered.
>>19479641I'm only seeing death threats towards him on my x timeline, an app on which I do not engage with wrestling in the slightest. So if that's what he wanted, then sure, he's a genius.
>>19481262Gunther will never be a A player. This changes nothing
>The guy who was booed for never losing, willingly loses as the crowd cheers for him to win, he smiles knowing he has the last laugh, he's worked them one last timeit was, dare I say, a masterwork
>>19481272Gunther isn't supposed to be the next face of the company, he's the guy a new potential face will beat. The run gets passed down, as it should be.
