Gunther tapping out Cena was the correct choice, and probably the best choice. And yes, the fans reaction to Triple H was annoying. But that said, I'm not mad at them. The crowd booing is the end result of HHH spending 3+ years inserting himself into every big moment and constantly telling the audience that he's the master and commander of everything that happens in WWE. They literally made a Netflix series with that message as the focal point. So when he inserts himself yet again, this time after an unhappy ending, of course the crowd will shit on him. When Brock Lesnar ended Undertaker's streak, they didn't chant "fuck you, Vince." They chanted "fuck you, Lesnar" the next night on Raw. Everyone still knew it was a "work" then, too. But Vince wasn't constantly telling the audience "everything that happens in the ring is something I brilliantly created."Had HHH stayed his ass backstage, the crowd would’ve settled down and cheered. His appearance gave them a valve in which to release their displeasure. He needs to stop inserting himself into every single big moment. He didn’t need to be there.

>the fans reaction to Triple H was annoyingbased joshipedo with the braindead retarded take
>>19483716>you're supposed to go out on your backThere isn't any "supposed to" which doesn't presuppose that whatever decision you make will yield higher or at least equal financial returns. Going out on the back works if the guy doing it can carry the rub and then pass it on to a face. Gunther is a midcarder, no matter how much he's pushed, however he squashes, he will not draw. He cannot get a rub. This means all you've done is lower Cena down to a jobber, with no great replacement who can fight Gunther (Cody? Fucking kill me). People will just be disinterested and not watch the show. I'll be vindicated on this when the ratings drop and don't go up, and WWE fails to hold a mainstream match again. They may increase their profits through other ilicit means, but their popularity will not recover.>Cena smiled as a sign of acceptanceThis acceptance thing only works if he got choked out or smiled before getting hit with Gunther's finisher, him quitting is the annihilation of his own principles. Smiling as you do it is a heel move. And he's full on enjoying himself with zero sense of melancholy after the crowd starts booing.
>>19484473>Lesnar v GuntherThe reason people shit on the booker is because this was not warranted. Gunther is not Brock. This is closer to Corbin retiring Angle. If Roman did this as the tribal chief, it would be respectable.

>>19484489They had a tournament I barely watched but existed all the possible names, it was Gunther or no one
>>19484860Then it should've been no one. That's the issue. Just because a jobber is the best you can do doesn't mean I'll treat him like a star.
