I feel weird about this Cena thing. On the one hand, I never liked Cena and always felt he was extremely overpushed and highly astroturfed. I also really like Gunther despite rarely watching WWE any more. On the other hand, I really think it was bad business to have Cena lose in that way. I would have gone ahead and let Cena get one last win and send the people home happy. Or at the very least, have him lose and let it be a "mutual respect" kind of finish. Now I find myself actually feeling sorry for Cena despite never being a fan. He's overrated as hell, but he didn't really deserve that. I also feel sorry for the people who paid hundreds or even thousands of dollars for such a disappointing outcome. Anyone else got this feel?
>>19488719other than liking Gunther, you described exactly how I feel
Yeah...
i think people have a problem with cena tapping out, it doesn't work in wwe because it looks fake and goofy
>>19488737based on the crowd reaction I think we likely aren't the only ones who felt that way about it.
>>19488744maybe it's because almost any other finish would have been fine. instead they had him do the one thing he always promised to never do. a pin would have been fine, a passout or KO would have been fine, or maybe even some kind of weird run-in finish. there's so many things that would have worked but they did the one thing that absolutely couldn't work. it's like missing a target the size of a barn.
