So, wasn't this little dude supposed to be 'the next big (little) thing' on WWE?

Why did he never appear in a RAW ring again after doing so a couple of times?
Was he too amazing, and that's why they're saving him for a special occasion?

Nah, when he worked for AEW, Meltzer and cult tried hard to tell everyone that he was fucking amazing and better than all luchadores in the world, then WWE bought half of AAA and they stopped their praising; He was build to be the next big thing in AAA, but Alberto was/is super popular, so when AAA took the title from him and gave it to Vikingo he instantly became hated by everyone. Just recently they finally turned heel after working for months as a babyface despite being booed in every arena.
