I will never get over the fact that WWE got people to unironically use the term "Premium Live Event".
>>19528837It literally makes more sense than still calling them PPVs out of inertia. I totally get it, it rolls off the tongue about the same anyways.
>>19528837Well it's literally not paid per view, so what do you call it?
Not me. I'm a boomerchad and it will always be PPVJust like KWABOTY will always be Tony
>>19528857Based.
It's 8 am Am partying already
>>19528837Most do whatever The Big People (TV, corporation, rich group) tell them. People like pretending they're rebels, but they all fall in line and follow eventually. Only things and people the average person stands up to are other average nobodies with no power. Then they pretend to be bad asses. kek
>>19528843Supercard
>>19528837Gives it a realistic sports feel
>>19529251This. I call them wangzimbos. Nobody tells me what to do.
>>19528839Exactly, they're not PPVs. They're offerings off of streaming services and are subsidized by advertisements.A PPV is a stand-alone thing.
>>19529726to be honest, a new term for PPVs is in order. a lot of wrestling companies aren't using the traditional PPV model any more. PLE ain't the one though, that term is just too cringey and corporate. just call them supershows or special events or extravaganzas or anything that isn't as cringey as "PLE".
That's why we call 'em "epigs". Lead them to the trough and they'll slurp up any slop you tell them to.
People say it makes more sense because you're not paying a flat price to watch the event, but who cares? It's always been Pay-Per-View and I don't see why people care enough to change it. It's like when WWE says they're 'Sports Entertainment' despite hardly being a sport and hardly being entertaining, it's like just call it what it's always been.
>>19530064that pork
>>19528837I think PLE sounds dumb too, but they legally can't call them PPVs anymore if they aren't offering the show over traditional cable PPV. If WWE kept referring to their big, monthly shows as PPVs, it would be false advertising.
>>19528839You're right. I still call them ppvs but you're right
>>19528837it's not that deep
>>19530335I do too, I think I'll be saying PPV without thinking for a long time.
