I don't know why the wily veteran gimmick hasn't been booked successfully in a long time. You could easily pull off a winning streak with an older guy outsmarting everybody else for a little while. It could work with Miz at this point. It could work with Punk too but he's too busy LARPing about the fighting spirit or whatever.
