And he has been heavily criticized since at least the ECW days for putting workrate far above audience engagement. Perry Saturn used to bitch about a Dean Malenko vs 2 Cold Scorpio match where Dean got on a mic to ask the crowd to stop heckling them and let them work and Meltzer gave the match like 4+ stars even though the crowd hated it.
