What’s it gonna take for you losers to give CMLL what it deserves??
>>19556033Me when I say anything slightly inaccurate about Lucha only for @luchablog to correct me with a long ass paragraph
>do they must have US tvESL aside, yes, that would be a fucking start.
>>19556033english booth and an easy way to watchi used to watch foreign language shit but i'm old and spoiled now
>>19556033nobody watches cmllobese subhuman pedophile aew fans are just hyping it up because they work with aew, the moment cmll cuts ties they will go back to ignore it exists.
>>19556056they sold a million tickets in arena mexico alone this year
>>19556033>do they must have
>>19556063>SoldLol
>>19556033Does CMLL tour Mexico and sellouts arenas and stadiums? Because if you sellout the same arena every week with the same people every week then it doesn't mean shit
>>19556033>shaming people into watching your favorite promotionAlways works out so well
If we are going on attendances, WWE wins easily and it's not even close. Most people don't watch CMLL. It's expensive and even if you pay the $40 sub, you still don't get to see the Sunday Arena Mexico show, Arena Puebla's show (you gotta watch another channel for the top 3 matches from it) or any of their sponsored shows. There's no reason for it and it's complete bullshit. Keep in mind that a few years ago, they showed us Arena Puebla's show every week FOR FREE on their own channel.CMLL really doesn't book that much. They run virtually no angles. They don't do backstage segments. The most you get is whatever they do on Informa's and when a wrestler grabs the mic after a match. That's it. Meanwhile, WWE does all of that every show.
>>19556098>If we are going on attendances, WWE wins easily and it's not even close.Actually it is pretty close in terms of butts in seats, I'm sure someone will do the math in the next week or two
>>19556033> WATCH MORE WRESTLING!!! EDRONES SUCK!> refuses to watch CMLLSmarks are funny
>>19556084>money bad if consistent lol WWE fan ass bitch
>Why would a North American centric vote lean more towards English language feds?!?!?!?These people are delusional. I prefer Japanese feds over Lucha or American... but I absolutely don't care if Japanese feds don't find support in other regions. The popularity of my favorite companies (or lack thereof) means nothing to me, I just watch for my own enjoyment.
>>19556135I do watch more wrestling just not overpriced shit from Mexico. I hate Lucha. It’s boring as shit.
>>19556084CMLL could probably build another stadium somewhere in Mexico and expand their reach if they really wanted to. The four arenas they have now do pretty well and there's plenty of other large Mexican cities that could probably support a CMLL arena.
>>19556155>probably could probably Lot of hypothetical, worthless post.
>>19556033sell out an arena that holds at least 20k people every week for starters
>>19556123I found some numbers. 2024 WWE total tickets was 1.9M, CMLL is projected to sell 1.75MSo if that holds up that's only a 8.5% lead
>>19556135I genuinely just do not enjoy the lucha style. It's true flippyshit, 0 actual storytelling/good matchesNobody fucking sells
>>19556033I'd be perfectly willing to watch CMLL but I'm not spending 20 bucks to do so. I don't even know if they have English commentary
>>19556033Speak English and drop the lucha style.
>>19556241$20. That’s cute.
>>19556264Jesus. Yeah fuck that man.
>>19556192CMLL just had their millionth fan like 2 weeks ago. There's no way they are getting an extra 750,000 fans before the year ends.
>>19556297That was Arena Mexico only
>>19556297>CMLL just had their millionth fan like 2 weeks ago.For a single arena.>>19556230>It's true flippyshit, 0 actual storytelling/good matchesPeople say this but CMLL has Xelhua, Hechicero, Ángel de Oro... if you don't want flippyshit, support the guys that do holds and submissions.
>>19556098>They don't do backstage segments.Isn't that mostly a good thing?
>cmll has zeuxiscmll won
>>19556033Reminder that this guy is white
>>19556123yeah, now compare the average ticket prices. The lowest AEW prices are probably close to the highest in CMLL.
>>19556790I almost put that in the post, but figured that qualifier should be obvious. I also assume WWE prices are higher relative to the average earnings of Americans vs Mexicans.
>>19556033>what's it gonna takeMore Asian joshi bitches, some black kweens, and a whole bunch of PAWGS
>>19556033fat smarks (by definition here because gringoblog is FAT) really and i mean REALLY out here losing sleep if the 50 people who pay dave meltzer to post on his message board don't vote for their favorite promotion (that nobody watches because it's paywalled.). there is grim and there is GRIMOLA and this is the latter
>>19556327yes and no. it's good for their model because the matches are mostly interchangeable on the card but i think it's a valid complaint from someone coming from a more american wrestling idea. there are feuds and macthes of course but they are buried under mostly uninteresting by the numbers trios matches and get ignored for weeks at a time.
Hopefully, the fed will get AAA a platform and that leads to CMLL getting a platform
>>19557021For this reason, they would really benefit from an English desk. You need to be autistic about it to follow it otherwise and fans only have a set limit of autism to go around.
>>19556033This guy's such a dork. Spent years slagging off CMLL because AAA had the AEW partnership and then completely changed his tune when things switched around. He's just a fat white boy who fully admits that all he does is out of hatred for WWE.
>>19557051that's based as fuck actually
it's funny how smarks immediately pivot to appealing to popularity whenever their favorite fed starts doing well lol
>>19556098The big thing is that lucha style doesn't really translate to non-lucha fans. "Lucha" style that people think of i.e. WCW cruiserweight/Japanese light heavyweight style is a different thing entirely and lucha guys adjust to working that when they're outside of Mexico and AAA under WWE has basically, on its bigger shows anyway, adapted to that style. Actual Mexican lucha matches are so completely different in overall flow and style compared to most other types of wrestling (and a lot shittier).
>>19557083>why does "luchablog" say a lucha fed is the best? must be a contrarian smark
>>19557051No? He shit on AAA when they were working with AEW. Hell I think one of those Triplemania shows made him consider just dropping the company
>>19556033maybe if they had shows that people watched?
>>19558440relatively speaking, that would disqualify every promotion this year
>>19557967Yeah, lucha is very different from other styles of wrestling. Japanese wrestling is a lot closer to US wrestling than lucha is. But lucha to most American fans is flips. The one thing I do like about lucha is that the heels and faces usually do know how to play their roles. Even at the lower levels of lucha, the heels actually act like heels.
>>19556033Why would a lucha lover care about where a wrestling promotion is ranked by an American magazine? It's like japs getting upset some disney show beat an anime for best cartoon.
>>19556033Nobody in their right mind gives a fucking shit about CMLL selling a shitload of $5 tickets, and $50 for the best seats in the building. AEW is struggling but still sells ringside tickets for $500-1000+ every single PPV like clockwork.
>>19558645japs love disney though
>>19556192"8.5% lead" and about 10x more revenue. 1 single night of WrestleMania makes more in ticket revenue (not even counting sponsors/ESPN money) than CMLL makes all year. Even AEW All In makes 5-10x more than CMLL's biggest event of the year.
>>19558717that's great news for the hedge funds that run wwe but i'm not jewish so i don't care
>>19558809>I sell more $5 tacos than that fancy steakhouse down the road sells steaks>that means I'm the top restaurant in the city! You dumb fucking faggot.
>>19559296You don't work for WWE. In fact I'd bet you don't even work at all.
>>19559306You aren't even capable of having a wrestling discussion, you always ALWAYS have to have it devolve into your gay retard bullshit because you aren't equipped to discuss wrestling openly and honestly. Fucking troll ass bitch.CMLL can't be the promotion of the year selling $5 tickets and doing shit numbers for streaming/social media.
>>19559323do you think jack black should win the oscar for best actor this year for minecraft? he was the biggest box office leading male role this year
>>19559347Do you think if 1 individual movie studio had 6 of the top 10 grossing movies, they should be the movie studio of the year?
>>19559362no, no one thinks that and no one talks about movie studio of the year seriously
>>19559380Who the fuck talks about wrestling promotion of the year or wrestler of the year, other than dirtsheets and twitter accounts? What the fuck. The Oscars and Grammys are actually voted on by a panel of industry professionals, not whatever asshole pays $15/mo to Dickhead David. Hollywood/Music Industry is up their own ass and get things wrong a lot, but they're not nearly as shitheaded as the average jackass wrestling mark.
>>19559422Sports Illustrated
CMLL doesn't care about it.
>>19556150AAA sure isn't boring
>>19559428Worked
>>19559422the oscars are way smarkier than the meltzer awards lmao. always shit nobody has watched or heard of because the business strategy is to run all those movies in limited release until the awards have already been given
>>19559826It is though. Imagine putting on a Lucha show and it’s fucking Natalya and a couple of niggers from NXT.
>>19559879esto
>>19559422Oscars and Grammys are just fat jew producers looking at whatever the fuck their kids liked this year. Shut up retard.
>>19559422Nobody who actually gives a shit about film or music cares or watches that shit. That's just for capeshitters.
>>19558413Not even close to relative to what I said at all, fuck me
>>19556033literally just one thing: SOME COMMENTARY IN ENGLISH!!!
>>19556052>english booth and an easy way to watchSmarks don't like it but this is the other answer.i don't know why we're scolding an american audience for not being more attentive to a show that has no free legal means of airing on US TV and is in a language that the majority of americans do not speaksay what you want about AAA but they had the right idea with the Twitch stream + English commentary booth.
>>19556098>>19556123>>19556327The CMLL experience is about being LIVE and IN THE CROWD. Its not designed as a TV product. CMLL's TV is a recording of the live product -- which looks like a lot of fun. But its not a "TV show" in the traditional American pro wrestling sense
