The only reason why there are no ''real heels'' anymore is because it would require making less money than you otherwise would by being cool to the fans. That's it. Because otherwise, it should be the easiest thing in the world. You don't even need to adopt an obvious cancelleable gimmick like being explicitly anti-lgbt to do so. You could get real personal and attack what the marks (both in and outside the ring) take for granted in wrestling and get a lot of mileage out of that, but why would you risk a year or two of low paydays when you could just coast. That's how wrestling is dying out, by coasting on pre-established notions, becoming this perpetual hugbox that never really gets under your skin, because that's not what entertainment is supposed to do. The fact that people once were applauding MJF's laughably childish idea of being a bad guy and supposedly keeping kayfabe as a return to the origins of wrestling is disgusting.

Miz Logan Gunther and Dom for the most part all real heels. Watch an actual wrestling show sometime and not Tony's Retard Playhouse

Logan, maybe. The rest, no. Dom is a perfectly ironic heel who works for the current audience, booed because it is fun to boo him. Miz has not been a real heel for close to ten years, he's respected for both nostalgic reasons and smarky reasons. Gunther ticks the latter category as well, because they're here to see the good wrestler have a good match, and his promos, while good, do not burst the bubble of the audience to where he legit pisses them off. The heat from the Cena angle, which is already dissipating and getting wasted, falls on the smarky notion of being mad at the booking. All of this is not counting the children and actual mentally challenged people in the crowd.

it's not that complex, there are no real heels because people get all butthurt when they do something controversial and just stop watching. the public today is too SAWFT to deal with real heels.

They'd keep watching if they had some babyfaces who represented something they believe in just to see them make a strong counterpoint to what the heel is saying. But since most white meat babyfaces' job is to either be dumb and naive, or be all in on the ironically fun part of the show, the audience isn't that invested in what's going on.

Might be time to accept that wrestling is fundamentally antiquated

redpill me on the Cremaster cycle, is it actually worth watching?
>>

No.
>>
>>19584867
Nah because youd be a greater heel and more popular if you didnt play it safe. cool heels went out in the ruthless aggression era and when the rock retired.

It was funny that the most interest MJF ever drew as a main eventer (very briefly) was when he started fully leaning into the hokiest kayfabe breaking garbage angles he could think of but then immediately tanked AEW by turning his world title run into a fucking year long sitcom where Adam Cole turned heel and became Satan

If you're interested in getting an idea on what the old 1% dynasties like to get entertained by, with an interest in silly alchemical games, and a good bit of carnie art con hijinks, then yeah. If you want to see a good experimental film, then no. You'd have a better time watching fun stuff like Damon Packard's films.

what did he mean by this?

I thought its entire gimmick was that you can't watch it?

You can, if you know where to look. I was surprised when I found out that it kinda looks like shit. I was expecting something gorgeous like The Cell or something, but ended up with camcorder level BS.
