10/10 moment, not so great follow up. I kind of liked Cena going meta, not changing anything as people would pop but then again they were doing it anyway. Mania was a dud and I stopped watching until the Summerslam rematch.

It went downhill from there and that Wrestlemania main event was a disaster. They turned him face again a few months later at Summerslam and then for some reason let Brock squash him, had some weird exhibition match with AJ Styles where they kicked out of every finisher in history, then had him win the IC title on Raw before dropping it after taking a destroyer from a 5' woman, before finally making him tap out to a sleeper in his final match.The whole run will go down in history as gargantuan fumble only saved by him shifting millions of t-shirts.
When HHH makes a creative decision like that there are four people he runs it by, Nick Khan - CEO, Dwayne Johnson - TKO board member, John Cena - 20 year face of the company, and Travis Scott.

I think Travis pulled this off well, he has the style and that silent demeanor as an accessory to Final Boss Rock. Tekashi 69 could've got Travis' spot for the heat on the flip end but it would ruin the cool factor Travis brought and would've made that moment into a juggalo clown show instead of a corporate villain theme the writers tried to portray.
