Everyone's retiring and all that's left will be theater kids
>>19619706There is no saving the pro wrestling industry, might as well quit while you’re ahead
Black people don’t do theater, anon.
>>19619785Black wrestlers are all so corny though, they're some of the worst offenders of this. Just look at Swerve Strickland
>>19619806swerve is a reverse wigger, he might as well be steve urkel
>>19619806Swerve is a mark that genuinely thinks he’s one of the greatest black wrestlers of all time because he’s ranked #1 when it comes to black wrestlers with the most five star Meltzer ratings
>>19619826Big E before the injury was the biggest cornball zest pirate ever too. They don't belong in pro wrestling
>>19619785plenty of black girl theater kids look at willow
>>19619706You were warned for over a decade and you didn't listen
>>19619706Cena, Roman, and Brock hogged the main-event scene for so long that an entire generation of wrestlers peaked at the upper-midcard. There are no more seasoned wrestlers with nothing left to prove. Now it's 40 year old's hoping for a pity push before they retire.
>>19619865Sorry I didn't change the booking, anon.
>>19619857The art form of wrestling attracts the most corniest niggers I doubt real black know or fw carmelo hayes or trick williams
>>19619910This is why I resent this idea that blacks are the "cool, masculine ones" in modern pro wrestling when it couldn't be further from the truth. Most people defending them are brown too, they aren't even black themselves. They don't even benefit from seeing some shuck and jive nigger like Trick Williams on tv, if it gives them hope, that sense of hope is false
>>19619885it's pretty much just Cody and Gunther who has been firmly elevated into the main event in the 10 years since Rollins and Reigns were first thrusted, it's not that WWE didn't try to make new stars, Daniel Bryan was hit by unfortunate injuries in the mid 2010s right around the time he was one of the most popular performers ever, Ambrose wasn't seen as one of the top guys despite red hot he was in 2014-2016, Bray Wyatt was too gimmicky to be consistent, AJ Styles had a good time at the top but he was 39 by the time he made it to the WWE, Jinder was a fucking flop, McIntyre could have been one, but Reigns' dominance pretty much ensured he was only main event adjacent after his first world title reign, Bobby didn't seem to get over as hard as he could have and he was also 44, Owens was sent back to the upper midcard after getting squashed by Goldberg, Balor never sniffed any main event success ever again after his unfortunate injury right after he got the title, Strowman's knees were too shot to keep him at the top, Damian was never that over despite how strong they tried to book him and got most of his face heat when Rhea is near him, and Jey kept embarrassing himself in the ring too much that he had to be sent back into tag division.
>>19620376I’d argue that Cody has been their best babyface champion in years, but I wouldn’t see it as a big accomplishment since it’s quite a low bar. We’ve had 2019 Seth Rollins, 2019 Kofi Kingston, 2020 Drew McIntyre, 2021 Big E, 2015-18 Roman Reigns & 2016 Dean Ambrose. All of which have been massive flops
>>19620376the only good news is that the future of the WWE main event looks good with Bron, Fatu, Theory, Trick, and Oba are ALL young, championship caliber wrestlers who will all solidly carry the company in the next 10-15 years
>>19619806They’re all Nintendo niggas. All the real niggas are doing actual sports
>>19620376Even Gunther doesn't have star-power to him. Is it that hard to imagine him being dropped down to the midcard like Ryback or Strowman? I would put Gunther in the same level as Seth.Cody is the only one who's truly at that level where you don't even notice that he's main-eventing wrestlemania, or you don't care if he wins money in the bank or the royal rumble because "he doesn't need it." For anyone else, those things are a big deal.
>>19621280Gunther feels like a less charismatic version of William Regal. I genuinely don’t see him becoming a world champ in any other era
>>19621333Being a heel is the only thing that covers his lack of charisma. I think Brock had more character to him during those years when he was silently dancing while Heyman cut all the promos.
Nothing really feels organic anymore because of the way the developmental system squeezes everything out of the talent on their way up. They're overcooked. Also, you can't force-make a star in most cases. This is the biggest flaw in their retarded system
>>19621428The PC has been a joke of a training school since its inception. Pat McAfee became a better seller than 80% of those dudes combined and he was being taught by Rip Rogers in an abandoned barn ffs
There's no one in any promotion under the age of 37 that's dimes
>>19621428>the developmental system squeezes everything out of the talent on their way up. They're overcooked. This is a good point. There are so many people who peaked in NXT because that's when they were new and interesting. You basically have to speedrun an entire career in NXT before getting called up, and by then everyone already knows you.>Also, you can't force-make a star in most casesI think you can to some extent, as long as it's someone who's at least talented. It's easy with heels: just give them repeated title reigns, preferably long ones. Getting faces over is a lot harder because you need them to be over with the crowd to the point that they're the ones asking for the push. Force-pushing a face ends up doing more harm than good. It straight up ruined Sheamus' career.>>19621449I'm starting to think that there's a wrestling bubble where wrestlers judge what's good from the perspective of a wrestler rather than as a viewer, so they don't care about things like selling. Logan Paul came into the industry with an eye for what audiences are interested in, and he mogs so many people who have been doing this for decades.
