I don't care about Stardom all that much, but I have seen some Stardom shows and a couple of Heel Saya matches and you will not convince me for a moment that Saya and the other woman she was facing I forget the name of didn't hear the loudest reactions of their careers on that match.

I think joshi fans have an overinflated sense of how fast joshi is growing in Japan. It's growing but it's still niche. Wrestle Kingdom is the Wrestlemania of Japan. You have a lot of casual fans who go to it but aren't actively keeping up with NJPW or the rest of wrestling. On top of that you had a lot of people going because it was Tanahashi's retirement so they're likely lapsed fans. Putting Stardom chicks in front of them isn't going to mean anything to them because they don't know who these people are.
