He's a true old school guy who could squeeze as much juice out of any material he's given and always manages to keep the crowd involved in his matches, whether he's being a heel or a babyface. And as a heel, he was probably the perfect foil to all the New Japan babyfaces they had. I think he's just been fucked over by a terrible booker who doesn't understand his strengths and hasn't put him a face who can oppose him properly and unfortunate injuries. But yeah he just does so many subtle logical things in his matches that always tickle my autistic brain in a good way, rarely ever busting out something that breaks the immersion.
