If Jericho was staying with AEW, the funny thing to do would be to stay radio silent until the Royal Rumble and then everybody expects him, and he doesn't show up, but then does appear at the next big AEW show and comes out as a babyface since the fans will know he chose them
Jericho should drop some hints and teases all the way up to the Rumble.

My guess is Jericho got an offer from WWE and he showed it to Tony to get Tony to cough up.
How rich is Jericho? He doesn't seem like the type to blow it all a la Ric Flair. He should retire and maybe come back once in a year or two for a goodbye thing after putting some more distance between himself and that last AEW run.
