How long will it take for it to happen again?
The only way they'll be able to sell out within the next decade is if they push wolftits to the moon
Is Okada's retirement a big enough deal to sell out the dome?
>>19632291Next year is gonna be back to 25k
I think it's interesting that it sold out off the back of the new fans rather than the old fans.Mutoh's retirement, for example, only did 25k.NJPW realized that the old audience was gone forever (As a big mass, that is) with the big Inoki mindbreak of the very late 90s and very early 00s, as well as his retirement. So they had to start building a new one, and this is the culmination of what they did.Now it's a question of if they can hold on.
>>19632291The next time Japan has a gold medalist who decides to get saw dusted.
Yuya won't need to retire to sell out the dome. Just push him, you faggots.
>>19632355Why is bro acting like wolftits already retired?
It will never happen in NJPW again. They need stars like Inoki and Tanahashi.
Won't happen until 2100. Once in a century talent , after all
>>19632372Unless he proves to be this Hashimoto level draw, I feel he will fall victim to the law of diminishing returns.
>>19632421That's fair but let's give him a shot. He got the initial draw part down, at least. And his attitude seems to be in the right place, which is a big boon.
>>19632291>Visible empty seats and sections tarped >Sellout Jamals are deranged
The only guys more important in the NJPW story than Tanahashi is Inoki and Hashimoto. No one after Tanahashi has been at that level of important yet. Sooner or later someone will make a name for themselves but who knows how long that'll take. NJPW has had spells where someone is the top guy but didn't really matter that much in the grand scheme of things.
>>19632291All they need to do is put the strap on Great-O-Khan
>>19632437Silence, silly boy. The grownups are talking. Back to the console war threads with you.
>>19632447First ever sub-1k WK
>>19632339>Next year is gonna be back to 25kkek this. Tanahashi knew this year was the best chance to retire because Jan 4th fell on a Sunday. Historically their Jan 4th shows sell better when its on the weekends no surprises there. The next time a January 4th tokyo dome show falls on a weekend would be in the 2030s and tana was not holding out another 4-5 year to retire lmao
>>19632439Why was Hashimoto such a draw
>>19632463what a good company lapdog
It's doubly impressive cause the tickets were expensive as fuck. They doubled the prices from the previous year.
>>19632361Yuyafags are so annoying
>>19632487Big but agile. The domestic audience thought he had a look that made him look shoot tough. Had that stoic personality that Japanese fans loved. Knew how to make matches feel intense and could milk the crowd for reactions. NJPW was seeing huge successes they hadn't seen in a long time with Hashimoto on top. Even when Inoki hurt his aura with the Ogawa feud he was still plenty popular enough to get Zero1 off the ground and fans follow him around to see him wrestle the AJPW Pillars.
>>19632487He just carried himself like a badass. Surprise surprise people like to watch badasses like Hashimoto, Goldberg, Austin who were all massive draws. Unlike faggot fans nowadays who want their top guys to be pretty and look like fuckboys. No wonder there is no draws left
