Hiroshi Tanahashi revealed on today's post Wrestle Kingdom press conference that Wrestle Kingdom 20 drew 3.5 million viewers in NJPW's first prime-time TV Asahi spot in over twenty years, plus 155,000 between attendance and NJPW World live streaming.

>>19633922YES 3 MILLY
Aaron Wolf is actually gonna save this company, isn't he?Also, bear in mind that it wasn't the entire Wrestle Kingdom 20. It was condensed for prime time tv.

>>19633922We're so back nujachads!
>>19633947If it had shit like the rambo, it'd have had less than half of that rating kekIt did have a shorter version of the Stardom match, though, so this is big news for the /Stardom/ lads as well.
>>19633947I tried watching the feed via VLC but it kept fucking up for me. Peeked in several times and only saw Wolf/EVIL and Tana/Okada being shown
It had the women match and the title match as well. But Wolf vs EVIL was the only match shown in full.
>>19633922Based Ibiru drawing another milly+
>>19634008>But Wolf vs EVIL was the only match shown in full.Even that was a bit condensed. They didn't have the spot where Wolf got hit with the Pipe Cut, for example.

>>19633990I can't fathom they showed that dogshit ranbo in the limited TV time slot they must have had. That would have been image suicide.
>>19634416>ugh, fine, I *guess* I'll wrestle......
>>19633965ya seethe etrooN?
>>19633947Yes. They spent years trying to force Umino as the guy when all they needed was a fat guy that can throw people around good.
>>19635163legit combat sports cred carries a LOT of weight in Japan. Judo is their National Sport. He beat everyone else in the World at Judo to win the Gold at the Olympics. He is a HUGE source of national pride for the Japs. He is/was the recognised best in the world at their nation's signature sport. You can't buy or manufacture that kind of overness he has. And it does still mean a lot for pro wrestling if a legit sporting competitor like him chooses to go into pro wrestling, it elevates wrestling socially so to speak.
