Wrestling has always had gay characters. Just now they’re suppose to be aspirational rather than villains we like seeing get beat up. There use to be a whole sub genre of wrestlers whose whole point was to just get the fans to chant the f slur and have communal fun over hating gay men. Too Cool use to be called too much and that was as their gimmick. Even the first roh match was a gay tag team getting squashed and called fags by some heroic purto ricans
And their theme songs are always some faggy song that “means something to them” with some faggot emo lyrics and all sounds the fucking same
