Some complete dorks every 10 years compile the top 100 wrestlers of all time
Ric Flair got number 1 here’s the rest of the top ten
But I have no fear they ranked literally everybody they get. Over 800 wrestlers get discussed.
>>19683769>no goldberg>no austin>no taker>no kane>no rocky>no vinnie mac>no hulk hoganI loathe wrestling nerds.
Here’s an example of the discussion had on even just a random Joshi, this would go on for like 15 more paragraphs.
>>19683769My how the times have changed... I can't imagine spending the time to make a list of 100 then the top just end being Meltzer's crew, which I imagine it will be, although I hope otherwise.
>>19683815Omega in 2016 was in the 200s. We shall see what happens now. Although the guy posting it to reddit and then it getting posted here exposes it to pure retardation on top of the unfiltered autism that it already was, so the 2026 list could be completely fucked.
>>19683777Here’s Austin and who’s around him
>>19683777Vince is above in the 500s, here’s Goldberg
>>19683777Kane did not rank. Here’s taker and Hogan
also here’s Benoit
>>19683838What happened to fans who actually knew wrestlers like this? No chance 99 percent of the current fans actually know most of these people besides seeing someone try to front on social media or hearing Cornette mention them.Anyways, thanks for posting.
>Regal better than Steve Austin, the highest drawing person in the history of wrestling who turned WWF from near bankrupt into a publicly traded companyThese people do not understand wrestling and never have.
>>19683767So on that site, there's a forum where they had threads for every wrestler they could think of. People would post in it and talk about why they thought they were good, what their best match was and so forth. One thing that wasn't discussed a lot is drawing power/popularity as this was more focused on wrestling and that took out a lot of people like this.>>19683777>>19683917>What happened to fans who actually knew wrestlers like this?Everyone on those forums basically grew up with the same stuff. We all watched WWF/NWA/WCW/ECW because that's all that was freely available. There's a lot more wrestling available now. Tribalism is a lot more extreme. The censorship/bans are a lot worse. There's also so many more things to do and get into than before. I think we're also reaching a point where you can't really go back and see everything. If you had never seen WWF or WCW before, you've got at least 5-10 years of watching to do.
>>19683769fucking smarks
>>19684081That’s why curation from experts like myself is so important. But this new generation of fans is too arrogant to think anything could possibly be better than aew.
>>19683769>Ric Flair is better than Manami ToyotaI'm so sure.
>>19683767>>19683769You just know this time there's going to be at least 4 japanese women in the top 10 lol
any list with no Mil Mascaras on top is wrong
>>19683780Guys do you get that this pathetic loser really fucking likes Hotta!!
>>19683774>557 Will Ospreay >556 Vince McMahon Deserved
>>19683767Personally, I would NEVER post on a wrestling discussion board where a bunch of autists obsessively compile a year-end list about some shit no one gives a fuck about
>>19683917According to Nielsen the average TV wrestling viewer is around age 53, so many are going to know most of them besides Akiyama, Taue and Casas. Fujinami main evented against Flair, Hashimoto wrestled Oz Nash (LOL). The WWE vault and WCW youtube channels get quite a lot of views.
>>196839419 voters having Daniel Bryan best of all time and Bruno not in the top 28 lets us know that being a draw doesn't have to be a criteria for whatever they are measuring. Also, Austin's top drawing time was relatively short, Meltzer's breakdown of the numbers had him at 8th for the 1990s.
>>19684416
>>19683769The rock is better than all these
I guarantee 95% of these voters are british
>>19684515Correct, Sir
>>19684416Ranking stuff can be overly obsessive. The only format I’ve liked this were dvdvr cause they actually made the matches available and the must see matches podcast cause they were very open that this was a community poll, disagreed with the order and choices and were still critical when discussing everything. People lose the plot. It’s not about creating a definitive ranking, it’s just recommendations. No normal person cares if misawa vs kawada is 5 stars but flair vs Vader is four and three quarters. The point is that you’re telling people those are good enough to go out of your way to watch.
>>19683769asians, shitters, and no Hulk. Into the trash it goes
>>19684475Outside of Japan and England there isn’t enough surviving/available footage from before the 80s. Out of all the territories I suspect wwwf has the most surviving footage based on how they’ve slow trickled over the years but it’s a lot easier to get a full picture of flairs career as it is Bruno’s.
>>19683838>william regalhe was good but he has to be one of the most meme'd legends ever
>>19684636Still makes me sad how when WWE network first started HHH and co. got them to snatch up alk sorts of old territory tape libraries then WWE just let the contract expire on them and didn't pursue any others. They started the Vault but it seems like TKO isn't yet ready to ket them spend money hunting and buying up old shit again especially when the content isn't centralized.
>>19684660Yeah, his matches were pretty fucking boring all things considered
>>19684674at least in America they’ve barely made the territory stuff available since they chopped up the streaming rights. Maybe it’s on YouTube and I just don’t know about it.
Where's Tenryu
>>19684730the WCW channel has most of 1986 uploaded officially now
>>19683769Terry Funk as #2 is acceptable.
>>19685584Yeah with Jerry Lawler also in the top 10, the voter base is likely far removed from the modern Cagematch type of MOVEZ smark which I can respect.
>dimeless peedub upset people put in workthis board doesn't even have OC anymore. It's just revolves around making up lore for new board heels.
>>19683769Not a bad list to be honest.>>19684660They should swap him out for Johnny Saint.
>Tenryu not #1baka
>>19685616They don't even like Bret or Shawn, who I think are pretty great.
can you link to the list? it's not on the pwo site
>pic related not even in the rankingslmao this entire list is a joke. nigga is easily in the top 10 of all time. RIP KING
>>19683769Stan Hansen being third is awesome.
>>19685616We’ll see. 2026 will show if this place got infected. Which it probably did given. People are now posting it on Reddit and here. It’s probably dead now.
>>19685946https://forums.prowrestlingonly.com/topic/33853-greatest-wrestler-ever-master-rankings-list-do-not-post-in-this-thread/
>>19686608oh i thought there was a new one out. thanks though
>>19683769Nobody really gives a fuck about Kawada and Kobashi, let's be honest.
>>19683838>Only one person in the entire voting pool put austin at 1
