going back to the SmackDown Live era (2016-2019), Ryan Ward was the head writer of SD during this timeframe. This is one of the most praised eras of the modern era of SD history, everybody liked it. and when Ryan was in charge, SD was on fire. SD quickly became the A-show to watch, while Raw at the time had Finn Balor, Roman Reigns and everyone else etc.
>>19688871Is Ryan Ward still with the company?
everybody thought Raw won the draft, SD came along and Ryan was the head writer. and it started to feel like things were different on SD, like Ryan Ward wasn't playing favorites, and if you earned your spot, you got your spot. That's what this era of SD felt like, so when i look at what's going on with SmackDown right now, I see maybe a return to those days.
This era of SD is where the "House that AJ Styles Built" came from, and Ryan Ward was the writer throughout this whole era.But it was sadly short lived, and why was that?Rumor has it, Ryan Ward got fired and let go from the WWE because Ryan wasn't about playing favorites, and wasn't about just giving somebody a spot because that one person liked them.Ryan was giving people spots because they earned their spots, and if they went out there and performed the best, and if it made sense within the story to do this, then that's what Ryan Ward did.
Ryan Ward played the game the right way, and it cost him his job. and so, when Ryan got let go, SmackDown went right back to being the status quo. Ryan is a guy that did what made sense, what was truly best for business, what truly made sense within the schemes of the storylines.after WWE released Ryan, SD went right back to status quo with Jinder Mahal becoming a World Champ.
>>19688877yes, sheets leaked recently that he is gaining more creative control on smackdown and road dogg, while still technically #1 and there haven't been any position/title changes, is losing some influence and control
the fact that Ryan Ward was a prominent writer when NXT B&G was hot, he became head writer of SD and made SmackDown hot, i don't think it's a conincidence.I think Ryan Ward surely knows what the fuck he's doing, because his name is starting to get mentioned again, and SD is going through all these recent changes.Ryan Ward is the real deal of creative, and i rarely praise anybody in charge of WWE creative.Ryan Ward is a tireless worker of creative, while everyone else is about the bullshit and playing favorites.
>>19688948What exact time frame was he the head of nxt and sd?
how often do i give any of these people in creative any credit when it comes to writing?i don't give Road Dogg any credit.I damn sure don't give Triple H any credit.Michael Hayes don't know what the fuck he's doingBruce Pritchard also don't know what the fuck he's doing.but when it comes to this Ryan Ward guy, i think he gets it.NXT B&G, SD Live, all praised eras.and now SmackDown today is turning the corner.WWE, just stop playing fucking games and give Ryan Ward the keys to the car and let him drive.
now that everything's starting to get mentioned, Drew McIntyre's the World Champ. Carmelo Hayes is US Champ. Jade Cargill is SD Women's Champ.Next up, SD Tag Belts. It's time to get those belts off of the Wyatt Sicks.
Hello, Ryan
it's only just a matter of time before Ryan Ward ends up replacing Road Dogg as the main man in charge of writing for SD permanently.once Ryan Ward starts getting more praise, it's game over for Road Dogg.
i just think it's interesting because all of Triple H's married men are starting to fall and crumble like dominoes, because i just got this feeling in my body that Triple H ain't making these decisions.Somebody higher up either told Triple H to promote Ryan Ward, or somebody higher up might've either promoted or is about to promote Ryan Wardbecause if it was Triple H, then he's not about to replace Road Dogg because that's Hunter's homie. Somebody else higher up made that call.
>hhh isnt in charge>things are good and people like the shows
it's starting to feel like Triple H is losing his creative power. His golden favorite Cody Rhodes just dropped the Undisputed Belt because somebody higher up told Hunter to take the belt off of Cody for horrible ratings. That banana spot involving Cody/McIntyre, plus the midget John Cena, that shit screams Vince-ism.
The last time Drew McIntyre was World Champ, Vince McMahon was in charge of the WWE.and with Ryan Ward in charge of SD, McIntyre is the Undisputed Champ right now.Jade Cargill is the SD Women's World Champ, Carmelo Hayes is the US Champ.and if Finn Balor beats CM Punk for the WHC Belt, then i think Vince McMahon might be lurking somewhere in the backstage calling some shots.if Balor beats Punk, then all of Vince's people are getting put back in their rightful places.
>>19689053even Shawn Michaels is starting to crack again. because Danny Burch just recently called him out for being uncaring when Burch hit a downward spiral (alcohol addiction) after being let go from the WWE in 2022.Burch tried reaching out to HBK to explain his situation and for support. Guess what? HBK fucking gave him a cold dismissive response instead of stepping in to give him the best care possible. Because HBK himself went through his severe struggle of drugs and alcohol in the 1990s, and Burch thought he could reach out to someone who went through similar struggles like what Burch went through in 2022.
