who was the michaels?who was the jannetty?
>>19691516Heyman is richest now despite having the lowest morals. Funny that, can't think of what separates him from the others.
vince russo was the michaels for sure
>>19691516Cornette is objectively the Jannetty because he never did anything except run a small regional territory with zero name value for a couple years, and both Bischoff and Heyman were bigger stars both on and off screen.Michaels is very debatable, as Heyman was the major influence of what 90's wrestling was, but also repeatedly went bankrupt, and never truly was a challenger to WCW or WWF. So Michaels really comes down to Bischoff or Russo, and whether you value Russo's very short peak 97-98 as making up for his terrible fall off in 99 and beyond.
heymanetty
>>19691516Heyman is the Michaels. Bitchoff is the Jannetty.
>>19691523Heyman has a wider view of what can work in wrestling compared to Jim and Russo. Eric doesn't seem to think of wrestling at all and views things through a corporate branding lens.
>>196915164 Michaels and you hate wrestling if you disagree
eric is probs the janetty but theyre all dimes in their own way
>>19691516Heyman is the MichaelsI think russos the janetty however I'm bias and have no respect for jim cornette. He's never had really big high point like Bish and Russo. He's hasn't even really been relevant in the actual wrestling product for 30 years.Cornette also spends his time just being hateful to everyone and everything and being a general blight to the worldHe's just a loud mouth but charismatic idiot really
>>19691516In terms of what. Highest and most peaks? Current status? Reputation among the industry and fans?
>>19692162If anything Corny is the Janetty
>Bischoff-probably has a huge bank account including several more tucked away-went from the absolute bottom of the industry to helming corporate meetings with the higher ups >took a fledgling $20 million a year company losing $10 million a year to a $350 million a year company that was making $50 million a year>which ended up getting sold for $2 million>can actually brag that he drew eyeballs to his product to generate money instead of just using wrestling as a toy box>the only promoter to go toe to toe with McMahon on a national level, the last hold from the NWA.>only came back because the money and story was good, actually worked for the guy he tried to put out of business. Put personal feelings and history aside to help the business.>fucked off to his cozy place out in Cody, Wyoming. Probably fly fishes every day.Russo:>started as a writer, wrote his way into the industry>undeniably produced and takes credit for kino, but he also produced undeniable shit and much of what was kino was due to the team around him>needs a filter, both on screen and b.t.s. Letting him run roughshod and have free reign produces fucked results detrimental enough to get him banned from companies and networks.>literally lived in his mom's basement and begged fans for money and a job back at WWE. >stuck in "New Yawk, bro" mentality and Howard Stern/Jerry Springer 90s crassness, but for good reason as the time he was in the business, Frasier, Friends, and Seinfeld were the biggest shows in the world and that's not competing with Monday Night Football. He had to draw eyes to the product and he no doubt did.>invested into JCW, which just might be the perfect fit for him. For a place that's literally at the bottom of the barrel, the only place to go is up and people are talking good stuff about it. Let's see where it goes.
>>19691516Cornette was easily the Janetty. I don't get why he's ever included in the great bookers of the '90s. SMW was only around for a handful of years and primarily did shows in high school gyms in Kentucky and Tennessee. He was never on the same level as the rest of these guys.
>Cornette>ACTUALLY loves pro-wrestling. ACTUALLY is passionate about the industry. Rolled with wrestlers and was present during two of the industries biggest boom periods. Autistically knows the ins and outs of obscure wrestling stories, wrestlers, and events and shenanigans. Literal walking tome of knowledge>undoubtedly entertaining, can talk a mile a minute and intellectually spar you like nothing else.>anger gets the better of him, but like his entertaining demeanour, ends up being hilarious and comical in its own right>his anger gets the better of him and his short temper has gotten him in trouble. Stubbournous doesn't help either.>despite it not being successful, put his money where his mouth was and started his own territory>mentally stuck in his prime and refuses to change with the times or accept wrestling has changed as well>despite this, he knows the industry intimately, he knows what works, what doesn't and why. His experience lends to him having the best takes on anything wrestling related and when he sticks to that, he's right %100 of the time. >veers off into topics like politics and world affairs and he loses the plot>fat jew podcast partner>got out of the industry and makes money via podcasting from the comfort of his home and he doesn't have to travel or leave, literally his dream job. Owns a memorbilia collection that is a treasure trove of history.
>>19692667Cornette hugely influenced the business, bringing up tons of stars, helped transform the WWF into what it became in the Attitude Era, created the standard for what smart mark narrative is and modern fandom and what wrestling 'is supposed to be', kept RoH alive leading to all the shit that happened afterwards, is the most well known 'historian' on the subject and the only guy there that actually worked in the business got over and drew money for a length of time besides just putting himself on tv although Heyman had a stint, and it should also be noted Heyman is pretty much a post-Cornette personality.
>Heyman>came in at the right place at the right time to take over ECW from Todd Gordon and Eddie Gilbert>opinionated and loud and brash>saw the writing on the wall and the changing of the times with the N.W.A. being dead as disco and WCW being outdated and stale. His bad working relationships with Bischoff and the "not a people person" Bill Watts soured him on WCW, he ended up hating it profusely.>foresaw the changing winds and split from the NWA in a very controversial fashion by tossing the belt and taking Eastern Championship Wrestling with him. >embraced the counter culture movement so well that the other companies copied him. This bit him in the ass in some ways because his committment to it cost him stars like Kurt Angle and working to get sponsors>introduced an elevated level of violence to wrestling not seen in the North American market, numbing the audience. Bret Hart going through the announcers table at ECW's height was never seen before and was treated like he had been shot. ECW introduced tables, ladders, stiff chairshots to the head and flaming furniture and this has become blase and the norm in some markets.>didn't pay his talent. Lied frequently. Weasels his way out of trouble. >out of everyone aside from Russo, is still working in the industry to this day in the higher echelons and seems content in his current role as opposed to running any company any time soon.
>>19691516>bitchoffWorking for Conrad's scam business on the side lmao>russoWorking 20 podcasts and now JCW after several podcasts got canceled>cornetteWorking his podcast which is more successful than all of Russo's podcasts put together but prob getting scammed by Brian Last in some way. Also scared to ever leave his house but doesn't really need to>HeymanWorking in WWE in the front and back. Will prob be there for several more yearsSo I'd rate it in terms of kwabness bitchoff > Russo > Cornette > Heyman
>>19691516Russo is the Michaels and still making clown kino
>>19691516In terms of wrestling content? Russo is the Michaels, Bischoff is the Jannetty and it's not close. It terms of actual business knowledge? Heyman is the Michaels, Russo is the JannettyBased on where there are right now? Heyman is the Michaels, everyone else is the Jannetty
Heyman is the Michaels because he's still at the top today. Russo is the Jannetty because he's spent 15 years begging for a job and now has to work for literal clowns.
>>19691516Russo the most talented
>>19694598is it classic russo storylines? just chaos?
russo was the heavyweight champion of the world, those other guys never even held a belt.
>>19692640JCW is a long way from being the bottom of the barrel dude. the bottom of the barrel would be the tiny local feds running shows in gymnasiums and community centers, most of which don't even have an internet show. JCW was actually the number 3 promotion at one time and is consistently one of the best-drawing indie feds. yes I know cornette hates them and says they're a total joke but he's more than a little biased and JCW has already drawn more dimes and created more of a legacy than SMW.
>>19695280>JCW has already drawn more dimes and created more of a legacy than SMW.lol not that guy but has it reallyWho the fuck came through JCWNow take a look at who was in SMW and where they ended upI swear to god this board is nothing but a bunch of mentally ill retards lying to themselves and each other
>>19692767yeah no, Heyman was just the crooked snakey backstabbing jew rat who managed to fuck over everyone else (including all the ECW fans) and get a cushy job as roman's mouthpiece. he backstabbed the NWA after they helped to build ECW into the most popular indie in the country, he backstabbed all the talented people who drew dimes for him despite his dogshit booking as well. this is the same guy who got the fans to chant YOU SOLD OUT at Mike Awesome just because mike wanted to work for someone who would actually pay him, only to sell out all those "counterculture" principles by going full corporate stooge and selling everything to WWE. I was a big ECW fan and I will always hate Heyman for selling us out.
>>19692777Bitchoff being scammed by Conrad makes him an instant janetty.Corny's arteries are likely more clogged than Heyman's, despite heyman's Mr. Magoo physique.
>>19695286I actually attended SMW shows back in the day, and yes JCW draws more people and they always have. SMW was fun territory kino but they never drew a lot of dimes. Cornette has absolutely no room to talk about JCW being irrelevant. Zero.
>>19695288never thought about it like thatjews are truly geniusses at controlling the narrative/making people not see theyre the baddies
>>19695329honestly I can't deny that, they are very good at manipulating perceptions and hiding their dirty deeds with flowery corporate language. the jews are not without intelligence, its just a shame that they use that intelligence in such crooked and evil ways. they probably could have done great things for the world if they weren't so greedy.
>>19695286its not about the quality of the wrestlers and how well they do in other feds its about dimes drawn and kinosandman was literal dogshit and couldnt wrestle at all, but ecw made him produce kino and draw money. i dont care if a guy cant even run the ropes as long as he entertains me
>>19695275bischoff was in a world title fight but got jobbed out by david arquette
>>19691516Cornetty
>>19692577peak i guess
>>19691516as to who is winning today?Cornette is raking in the cash for his gay podcastHeyman is the top and only manager in WWE and probably the only thing most people associate as a manager in the last 30 years.Russo just had a brief window of being a Micheals but its been almost 30 years of being a Jannetty Bichoff really hasn't done much in 20 years he has a semi successful podcast but hes still on the Jannetty list.
