>>19695318I attended the show in Scotland last year and I feel like Tony really doesn't get it. The fact that Hangman, Kenny or the Bucks weren't on this was mental. It was great to see Tanahashi, don't get me wrong, but there's a big wrestling community in Scotland that are sick of the Fed and they stacked the card full of Exfed guys. We have ICW and a shit load of indie feds where over the last 8 years WWE has wrecked the rosters so there's an anti WWE mentality that Tony really could have tapped in to, but he just didn't get it. If I'm remembering correctly they also had a bunch of pre show segments with the UK guys such as GYVs and other shitters that we've already seen and are sick of. No one wants to see Exfed guys in Scotland and they certainly don't want to pay £80-150 a ticket to see the indie shitters from their local fed.

I don't know how much merch they shift, but when I've been to wrestling shows most of it is kids or parents buying fork ids and AEW hasn't really attracted that audience (yet).
