Turned out to be the match those two were always meant to have in WWE. Had a great amount of time. Had all of the NJPW callbacks. Had a lot of great selling and storytelling. Makes me think the Rumble could be AJ's last match because I don't see him topping that Nakamura one. Had some finality to it

>>19757592Honestly thought it was a perfect build to the Rumble match and will probably mirror it in some way. Nakamura was beating the shit outta AJ until a lucky spot where AJ could take advantage and leverage Nakamura's knee injury. Shinsuke dragged him into deep water, and it was only his veteran abilities, perseverance, and a little bit of luck that got AJ through it. The difference, depending on if AJ retires, is that Gunther may end up being too much.
