Was this fat chink ass as good as the internet says he was?
>>
I too, would like to know why some fat youngboy became RoH champion. I heard he knocked Danielson's retina loose with a forearm or something.
>>
I got into ROH around the time he became champ. He was booked and treated like a fucking monster, basically samoa joe 2, and it was fucking amazing seeing him destroy manlets with such ease. It didn't matter to even the ROHbots that he was a newbie and not a KENTA or Misawa level back in NOAH because he was totally different from everyone else on the roster.

Gabe kept the title on him a little too long and the McGuinness win felt a bit poorly done considering it was on a pre-taped PPV that went weeks before airing. One could argue every ROH show was like this with the DVDs, but ROH managed to keep hype from DVD release to DVD release but something about the win felt hollow than the christening moment Nigel should have had.

they kinda tried to do the same thing with Go Shiozaki but it just didn't work due to him looking like shit and nobody caring about the FIP title. I still remember the 'no 'mo go' chants

I feel like you guys are just using a random generator to make up these names at this point

>this language i don't understand sounds like random words
Oh

He was in some enjoyable sprints. I don't remember him being particularly good at laying out matches but then again, none of the then-young guys were in 2000s Japan.

I miss this fatass nigga like you wouldn’t know

who is he?

He had potential to reach greater heights but his own physical and mental issues held him back.

Go was basically a joke for a long time, like the definition of a cosplay wrestler trying way too hard to emulate the old AJPW pillars but in a way that was totally soulless. It took him leaving for a while and then having to be The Guy during NOAH's lowest period where he finally got a clue.

I have no idea how well he's doing in AJPW but so much of what made him work was the whole I AM NOAH thing because that seemed to represent who he really wanted to be and he really was the soul of the promotion as it was rebuilding.

Shiozaki's been solid in AJPW so far. He joined the rowdy outsider faction called HAVOC. That seemed weird at first to me but the more I watch the more I think it makes sense. Shiozaki began in NOAH. Left NOAH to join AJPW. Abandoned Kento Miyahara mid-tag reign to go back to NOAH to hold the NOAH banner high. Now he's left NOAH again and came back to AJPW. The crowd wouldn't have liked him trying to pick up the AJPW banner so being this likeable veteran with dubious loyalties toward friends and promotions is working pretty well for him as a character. I also think Shiozaki feels more at home with what AJPW is currently doing than trying to find a place in NOAH anyway with stuff like the rise of OZAWA going on.
