>>19783100suwama back in ajpw? guess the issue with fukuda is fixed?
arriving to the new thread
>>19783112Suwama left AJPW? That's news to me
Is he ever going back to DDT?
>>19783166Until he gets a belt, I guess? But as long as he's fine in NOAH don't think his fans will complain especially after DDT got Junta.
>>19783036The only DG x DDT match i want to see is still Shun vs Ueno but I have no hopeBut I imagine the tag from DDT will be Iino&Naya or MAO with another guy.
>>19783160He was mainly working on that Evolution Indie he made. That's how we got Chi Chi and ZONES.
want to watch a match lads?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdSLcT2PL2E
>>19783112Suwama technically never left. He just backed off to focus on his indie. He's being more active now at least to work towards that Go Shiozaki feud that was teased earlier in the year but hard to say if Suwama stays active after that.
>[NOAH] Aiki Inamura licks his chops for a defense against “Godfather” Takashi Sugiura: “I’ll make it my experience”>NOAH’s GHC Heavyweight Champion Yoshiki Inamura (Aiki Inamura, 33) spoke candidly about his fourth title defense against Takashi Sugiura (55) on February 11 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Inamura still holds deep respect for Sugiura, having received countless pieces of advice from him as a young trainee—but how does he plan to confront a challenger who, as the “Godfather” of the black unit TEAM 2000 X (T2KX), has embraced villainy without restraint?>With the Sugiura match looming, Inamura didn’t hide his conflicted feelings. His first words were a sigh-laced murmur: “I don’t think a clean fight is going to be easy.”>In previous defenses against OZAWA and Masa Kitamiya—both fellow members of T2KX—Inamura had called for them to “repent.” This time, though, his expression hardened: “Mr. Sugiura is a wrestler with chivalry and strong convictions. You can’t just casually tell a man who knows both the sour and the sweet—who’s gained an outrageous amount of experience—‘wake up.’” He then stated flatly: “It’s very sad, but I’m resolved to fight ‘Mr. Sugiura of T2KX.’”>Inamura also confessed that he had admired Sugiura since he was a boy. “Back then I was in junior high school, and I thought, ‘Is there really a man this cool?’” After joining NOAH and debuting, Sugiura began inviting him out to meals. “I started pro wrestling late by industry standards—I was 25. But Mr. Sugiura started at 30, so he told me, ‘Compared to me, you’re still young…’ He’s my mentor. In every respect he influenced me and had an impact on me.” That’s why, he recalled, he couldn’t hide his shock when he heard in the U.S. that Sugiura had joined T2KX.
>>19784463>At the same time, Inamura’s eyes sharpened. “But honestly, there’s also something rare about being able to fight the black Mr. Sugiura at this moment.” Sugiura has repeatedly walked the dark path before, including his sudden 2015 entry into Suzuki-gun, who were then running roughshod over NOAH.>As for this “black Sugiura,” Inamura said, “In times like that, Mr. Sugiura’s scary side—his harshness—stands out even more. He really is the Godfather.” And then, licking his chops, he added: “I’m going to make this fight with the rare, black Mr. Sugiura my experience.”>Regarding Kenoh—whom he continues to name as the next challenger, only for T2KX’s interference to keep the match from happening—Inamura gave a wry smile: “Honestly, I do want to fight Mr. Kenoh.” Even so, he continued: “But after I defend this time, I won’t be surprised no matter who interferes. If I didn’t think that way, my heart couldn’t take it. If I win this one, next I’ll fight the opponent who’s right in front of me. I’m saying that now.” Not only the outcome of this defense, but what comes after it, will be closely watched.https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/375253

>[AJPW] Jun Saito aims for the full revival of the “Saito Brothers” — condemns Triple Crown champion Kento Miyahara’s reluctance as “simply uncool”>Jun Saito (39) of All Japan Pro Wrestling wants to defeat the “challenge-refusing” Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion, Kento Miyahara, and fully revive the “Saito Brothers” tag team with his younger brother Rei Saito, who is set to return.>Jun is scheduled to challenge Miyahara at the Ota City event on February 23. On the same day, Rei—who has been out with a right-shoulder injury—is also slated to have his return match. Jun revealed that his feelings for his brother are the driving force behind the challenge: “As Rei’s big brother, I want to be standing next to him holding the Triple Crown belt.”>After winning the Triple Crown, Jun also hinted at challenging for the World Tag Team Titles with Rei (the current champions are Ren Ayabe & Talos), raising his voice: “Lately we’ve inevitably faded into the background, but I want to say it loud and clear: ‘When you talk tag teams, you talk the Saito Brothers.’” He added, “Even as we move forward as a tag team, I’m going to firmly take the Triple Crown belt for myself,” vowing that this challenge will be the springboard for the complete revival of the “strongest twins.”
>>19785668>On the other hand, Jun had plenty to say about his opponent Miyahara. While the title match was formally announced on the 26th, when Jun declared his intention to challenge at the Chiba–Makuhari event on the 25th—taking into account Rei’s return match as well—Miyahara refused, saying, “I won’t do it in enemy territory.” He also insisted to reporters, “A champion has the right to choose the situation.”>Jun condemned the hesitant champion as “simply uncool.” “You shouldn’t say that out loud. If I were the champion, it’d be ‘whoever comes, I won’t refuse.’ No matter how big the opponent is, or how unfavorable the situation is for me, I wouldn’t turn it down. What do you think the fans and the other wrestlers feel when they hear that?” he said, calling it out.>As a post-title roadmap, Jun is eager to hold a Triple Crown title match against Rei at the postponed Kakuda City, Miyagi event. The brothers had a title match at last June’s Sendai event, but Jun insisted, “It wasn’t satisfying at all. That was never the best match between me and Rei. We can have a far, far greater match.” Can February 23 become “Saito Brothers Day”?https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/375266

>I've been living in Osaka for 14 years! It's my favorite city! I like it more than New York (lol). But in Japan, most pro wrestling organizations are based in Tokyo. Everyone often tells me, "You should move to Tokyo," but I haven't left Osaka. Right now, it's becoming a difficult situation to stay in Osaka. I love Osaka, but I love pro wrestling even more.https://x.com/qstormprowres/status/2017152962662191377
