Smarks want you to believe wrestlers are so much better now when half the roster is injured in both AEW and WWE
They draw more money now. Record profits for the industry. So they’re better
>>19784943Oh no some wrestlers got some booboos putting on banger matches, finna cry some more about it?
>>19784943Injuries have always happened in wrestling anon. There have been worse points for both companies where a huge chunk of people got bit by the injury bug
>>19784963Remember 2015?
>>19784955Only WWE is making "record profits" and that is thanks to the Saudis and nostalgia.
>>19784998Kek exactly. Also the first Forbidden Door felt nearly cursed with how many people kept getting hurt leading up to it and on the show itselfI get there's console warring and everything from ratings and attendance will be used as a gotcha. One thing I'll never touch though is injuries. No wrestler or promotion is immune. That shit just sucks
>>19784943>Looks worse>Harder to do than ever>Looks safer>More dangerous than everIt's like the exact opposite of what you want to happen.
>>19784943memba when botches were notable and referenced for years? now they happen so frequently almost every match nobody even notices
>>19785115I think it's more that there's a hyperfixation on them as well now compared to like 15-20 years ago. It'd take a really glaringly obvious mistake to get the crowd being like 'ohhhhh they messed up' unless it was a super smarky crowd like ECW. And I say that as someone who loved ECW. These days everyone's got everything under microscope. You can watch back clips and matches immediately. There's an unrealistic expectation that everything needs to be done exactly perfectly or else it's a botch or they fucked up or some shit
>>19784955>Record profits for the industry.AEW is still operating in the red, even with the TV rights deal they signed last year. They're deeply in debt, and Tony just keeps signing more people to guaranteed contracts.
