Does WWE have a plan for what to do if the plane to or from Saudi Arabia were to crash and kill the entire roster?
>>19789018They've been going on overseas tours every year since the 1980s
>>19789018Probably use the stars of AEW. And by stars I mean buddy.
>>19789018Rename NXT to Raw and TNA to Smackdown.
>>19789025Do they have a plan then? Plane crashes are rare but they do happen
>>19789041if you're asking seriously, this is what's gonna happen: there will be a memorial show then the programs will go off the air for a few months. they will cash on so much insurance that they'll be able to buy off any available wrestler in the industry to launch with a new roster. just out of curiosity, the new show will probably start off with good numbers.
>>19789163If I was WWE, I'd make sure to charter multiple planes and try to assign wrestlers to each plane so that it's an even mix of main eventers and mid and lower card wrestlers. That way if one goes down, I'd still have 2/3 of the roster and could still do a show.
Strap up JD McDonagh, Jackson Drake, Ethan Page, El Grande Americano Jacey Jane and Tatum Paxley.
>>19789041No, I don't think companies generally have a plan in case of "What if freak accident happens that kills everyone"
>>19789185dude if something like that happens, they'll have to go off the air for a long time either way. like do you think they'll just go back to pretend fighting the next week like business as usual?
>>19789208Yeah but at least they wouldn't have to start completely over, and there's a 2/3 chance your favorite wrestler survived.
>>19789196All the sports leagues actually do have a plan for this. There's an immediate expansion draft, the salary cap (if existent) for the team is voided, and the team automatically gets the first pick in the next draft
>>19789218well I mean the big draws fly separately anyway. I remember when the whose saudi plane thing happened, Brock and a bunch of executives left on another plane.
>>19789018OP you know that if the plane actually crashes now the feds are going to arrest you, right?
>>19789241That's good. I'd make sure Cody always has his own plane. That way if it crashes, we'd do a Cody memorial episode and move on. Or if we lose one of the other planes, at least we still have Cody.
>>19789208They ran a show 3 days after 9/11 and you think they're going to stop shows for months over a plane crash?
>>19789018Dont tink so
>>19789259kek they also did a memorial show for benoit five seconds after he died.
>>19789018Yes they do. It might soun ld weird but almost all public companies do disaster planning and management as part of their risk assessment requirements
>There's no way I can lose this bet, unless, of course, my nine all-stars fall victim to nine separate misfortunes and are unable to play tomorrow. But that will never happen. Three misfortunes, that's possible. Seven misfortunates, there's an outside chance. But nine misfortunes? I'd like to see that!
>>19789041They have a plan, one of the early Saudis had everyone stranded in KSA and NXT was called up to do a Smackdown taping, that's how we got the Raw vs SD vs NXT Survivor Series.
>>19789163>>19789208show must go on pal
>>19789018The most likely thing in the short term would be that they call up some of the NXT talent that's been there for a while and give them main event spots to fill the air. They'd get a lot of leeway since there would be sympathy for what happened and they'd be able to develop themselves into main event roles. Apart from that, you can bet your ass that WWE would do anything they can to lock up any available English speaking wrestlers to mentor and fill in main event spots as well. In the worst case this might be the one chance to build a bridge with AEW and have them loan talent in exchange for acknowledgment, promotion and money obviously.
I love Lyra
We know, Trev.
>>19789018Pack it up and sell off whats left to Tony
>>19789259How many wrestlers died in 9/11?
He seethed.
