This is an interesting development. Zane was in my opinion clearly the weakest of the current class, and having him get a character elevation like this is an interesting choice. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Oh yeah, this part I agree with. I talked about it with someone else in a previous thread and I feel like Umino's in a really weird spot right now. He's clearly still got support from the fujos and children with the white-and.pink heart sign crowd gifts gimmick, but the rest of the crowd don't connect with him at all and actively boo him in higher card situations. I get the feeling that he'd rather keep this safe partial support instead of change up and risk having none at all.
