There was some measure of intrigue over the mysterious masked man that drew fans in and effectively generated interest and social media engagement between War Games and the Raw reveal right after Cena's retirement. Then it ended up being Austin Theory, who many (following Meltzer) predicted. Many argued that Theory was an underutilized young stud worthy of the big push, many others argued that he was a proven shitter who can't make the leap to stand out on his own. That latter group now has more evidence to support their case. Not only has Theory been booked like the Vision's lifeless tag-along bitchboy, he has made this shitty booking even worse for himself because he lacks the sack to try to stand out when he's being featured on screen. After this Vision storyline runs its course, Theory is a lock to be released. The bigger concern is in the creative department's over-reliance on "surprise moments" like mystery men and sudden returns (Brock at Summerslam) that lead to absolutely nothing... over and over and over again.
