And this right here is Meltzer logic. Assuming that everyone that can watch AEW does watch AEW. Absolutely retarded. This isn't high level math, it's faith based.

Aaaaand it's nothing
>>
>>19814821
God damn. So if I'm reading this right, the first scenario is basically AEW's impossibly low rock bottom during a normal week, given that we already know some people who have both TBS & MAX certainly watch on MAX. AEW is doing a lot better than

Dynamite has about the same numbers as Slopdown. Believable.

They release streaming numbers when they're good. AEW isn't doing well, simple as.
>>
>>19815110
So SNME and the ESPN PPVs must be doing terrible
>>
>>19815120
Probably. WWE sucks too now

do you have a source on that and if they even count dynamite? it's only in the US

i mean, anyone here could have told them that sounded like a retarded price to pay for wwe pay per views. there was nothing going on in the company in terms of storylines or stars to make anyone think they'd be able to improve on the momentum on cody beating roman.

Hollywood expects to lose money on streaming startups
>>
I trust Dave's opinion and he thinks there are more than 350k watching on MAX. I just can't believe that. 100k sounds pretty reasonable. So 700-800k total live viewers every week is still a big number.
>>
>>19814821
If I wanted to read Meltzer's autistic babbling and made up nonsense, I'd pay the $14.99/month.
>>
>>19816394
Most NBA games don't even get like 50k on HBO Max. There's no way AEW is getting 350k, or even 100k. Meltzer is just making shit up like he always does.
>>
>>19816394
Why? HBO shows get more than cable.

FRAID SO
>>
>>19815313
If it's true then it's entirely ESPN's fault.

>>19815939
The only issue is that they jumped the gun and switched to ESPN before it was included in most people's TV packages. If they had waited until WrestleMania like the original plan, when deals with more providers were in place, people wouldn't be anywhere near as upset since it wouldn't cost most fans any extra.
>>
>>19814903
It's all it's ever been hombre, they are just guessing using some stupid ass math formula.
>>
>>19817493
ESPN needed content
>>
>>19817504
Yeah, but it was really confusing how they went about it, because WWE is basically the only exclusive content on ESPN Unlimited. The main selling point of the service is that you get the ESPN TV channels, and that's where all the marketing was. Their website prior to launch basically didn't mention WWE at all, and only talked about the streams of the linear channels. There was confusion over what it even was. Just a dreadful, stupid launch that ESPN only has themselves to blame for. Now they're asking WWE fans to pay for ESPN when they're already paying for ESPN, although they are adding more providers now, and should have YouTube TV by Mania.

>If anything 8 HBO viewers to every 10 TBS viewers feels conservative given every informal poll I've done

It was reported by WBD themselves, the highest drawing NBA game had 43k viewers.

nice
>>
>>19816394
I would conservatively say it's anywhere between 75k and 150k live but if we get in to catch-up territory yeah I can see it at 350-400k in the week just due to the convenience of the format. Probably a good chunk that watch it the afternoon after the show. It won't be as much live viewers simply due to how limited Max is worldwide. It's not even available in the UK due to licensing issues with Sky.
>>
>>19819353
They've pivoted to TNT Sports for a reason
>>
>>19817754
People will watch a wrestling show the day after it airs but no one's watching an NBA game on catch-up and there's more convenient ways to watch that shit
