We all know vince saw aj as his new Shawn Michaels. do you think if vince was still head of creative he would have gotten a similar retirement instead of the rushed bullshit that hhh tried to shove down our throats?

I miss people just going away, instead of a big hullabaloo for their retirement. manchildren just want to cry as their fake tough guy actor retires, by leaving his boots in the ring. boohoo niggas, grow up

>>19815475AJ would have a series of losses for 2 months. Commentary would begin to question if AJ still has it, and there would be backstage segments where other wrestlers come up to him and try to reassure him. His matches would have a bunch of worked botches as he continues to lose. Finally his best friend Omos returns to encourage AJ that he still has the fire and ability needed to succeed. AJ has a string of ends culminating in winning the US Title and then is immediately turned on by Omos. Omos reveals his plan all along was to get the real AJ Styles back so he could be the one to end his career. Omos beats AJ in 7 minutes in a retirement match for the US title in the main event of Smackdown. Immediately after the match Oba Femi comes out and has a stare down with Omos as the show fades to black
>>19815475I think Vince would have booked it similarly to what actually happened. Apparently AJ lost the passion he once had and felt it was time to get out before his body deteriorated further. Many have remarked on how good AJ still looks and moves, but that might have something to do with his obvious increase in steroid usage over the last 2-3 years. AJ may have started worrying about how the roids would affect his health if he kept using. Vince would have respected his wishes and fed him to the "career killer." The only sensible difference Vince might have made would be in promoting the match as the focal point of another SNME, instead of sending AJ off in the 2nd match of an event where his retirement wouldn't be the main thing on the show.
