Yeah, absolutely insane. I don't expect to be blown away by anything Hartley does, but a hoss match in Korakuen is always going to be fun as a baseline. I feel like they went above and beyond, with the brawling in it. Fun stuff.

I think Akira got a lot better about that in NJPW. Kara's one of those guys that really suffer from the more-moves-more-faster-more-often curse from what I've seen of him, which admittedly isn't much. His sells are surprisingly good for a guy like that, though.

Yeah, great crumple physics. I think that's the problem of being a wrestler from a country where the wrestling scene isn't even small, but tiny. You are stuck wrestling the same 10-20 people unless your promoters are bringing in quality imports.
The only way to really improve is to break out into another wrestling scene. But how do you break out when your wrestling scene is largely ignored? I've seen some Scandinavian wrestlers break into the Japanese scene recently, so there is some growth happening in the scene. Like Ender Kara in BJW/GLEAT, and some of the women in Stardom, TJPW, SEAdLINNNG. But most of Jap excursions results in basics & smoothness and general more-moves-more-faster-more-often. I think they'd benefit by some UK or US excursions.
