It's hard to describe what exactly it is about Barrett's commentary that bothers me so much. He sounds like a guy who just put on Wrestlemania for his girlfriend who has never watched wrestling and is constantly explaining the psychology like >Jericho is deliberately slowing the pace down here because he's the heel, err bad guy>Cena is about to pop the crowd and do all his signature moves. Fans call them the five moves of doom!His commentary is explicitly just "this is the story WWE is trying to tell here." and it takes me completely out of whatever match he's calling Sometimes he also has these immersion-breaking meta dirtsheet linesWhen you are randomly talking about how Gunther would "thrive in any era of wrestling" during his match with AJ Styles, WTF does that even mean in kayfabe? What are you trying to even sell here?Or he'll say some shit like "Now that'll put butts in seats!" like nigga just react to what is happening
