>Junior can be refer to son or relative or student>many copycats without the original permission>the lore of Mistico>La Parka ownership dispute>Blue Demon Jr is actually an adopted son of original Blue Demon while the biological son of BD didn't become a wrestler but want to claim the rights of Blue Demon's name and went to CMLL to created a BD copycat called Diamante Azul>El Hijo del El Santo drama with his nephew Axel being bitter toward his nephew and refuse to let him use any El Santo reference on his gimmick and filed a lawsuits toward him. Oh and El Hijo del El Santo is 8 years older than Axel due to him being the youngest out of 11 children of El Santo>also in Mexico have governing commission that regulated both lucha libre and boxing
Lucha sucks, it's not even good super hero storytelling, it's just mindless stunts for braindead monkey retards pissing themselves drunk.
>>19873314So we've seen things like Luchador, Luchador Jr., El Hijo de Luchador, and Mini Luchador. Has there ever been an instance of a big beefy guy being booked as "Luchador Grande" or is it all diminutives?
and that is not even counting indie lucha.A million Parkitas and Mascaritas
>>19873317This, I prefer watching little girls dance in pedogold and saardom, the true peak of wrestling
>>19873317Lucha was fine when it was consigned to low IQ beaners but it bleeding stylistically into america and japan has been disastrous

Being the son of a famous wrestler gets you more attention and bookings. But not every wrestler has kids who want to wrestle and not every wrestler has a famous dad. So some wrestlers rent their names to other wrestlers for money. Because everyone wears masks, there's really no way for the average person to know. Because this happens so much, the average fan has caught on and it doesn't work as well as it used to.Blue Demon Jr. is maybe not even be the adopted son of Blue Demon, just someone who bought the name. He even had some kind of spat with Demon Sr.'s family. He has a Blue Demon III and another person under the Blue Demon mask. It's unknown if they are renting the name or are actually related.Parka's situation is a bit more easy to understand - AAA owned the gimmick and he left, so they made a new one and he had to change his name. Mistico was in the same situation, but there was also another Mistico when he was given the gimmick which made things fun. With Axel, Hijo del Santo basically got full rights to the El Santo name and gimmick. He supposedly wanted his own son to someday take the name, which he did, and that's why he didn't want Axel using it. His son isn't very good though and isn't that interested in being a full time wrestler. Axel and Hijo also don't get along which is part of the issue. I have no idea what the lucha commission really does except make people jump through extra hoops and collect money.

>>19873314Yeah it's pretty wild. I find pleasure in imagining that the ancient Aztec civilizations probably ran exactly like that too.
