I think I'm done with wrestler podcasts they're all the same. Yeah the ratings are down but no one watches tv any more you goof it doesn't matter. Yeah Tony's toy fed is shit and no it isn't going to fold in two years actually. Yeah triple h fumbled and I don't need to hear every week that it will be sold to the Saudis any time now.
I like a comfy podcast to tuck in for the night now and then and wrestling is a comfy topic but all the podcasters are needs or irate schizos like cornetty
The boomers don't have any insight in anymore. The only thing they can do is ragebait to a declining audience.

>>19893598The fact that people don't realise cornette is working and doesn't believe most of what he says only makes sense when you realise oh yeah we're talking about marks here. His gimmick is to shit on everything these people don't realise he wouldn't make money from the marks if he didn't act obnoxious
>>19893582Wrestling is more enjoyable when you just watch the shows and pay no attention to meta online discourse about it>the plan is for X to face Y at Z and win the title>also snape kills dumbledoreshut up shut up shut up
>>19893582never thought about that, does anyone actually discuss the shows without talking about the overarching business or behind the scenes stuff
We Work Stiff focuses on character and story in NJPW by a smart guy who likes using film to frame certain things, good listen
>>19893598Is Tony holding a Lovesense toy?
>>19893644It blows my mind that this isn't obvious to more wrestling fans, although I guess it shouldn't given wrestling fans often aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.Cornette just takes the criticisms that people who hate pro-wrestling apply to all of it and direct them at the wrestling companies he finds it profitable at the moment to bash. That's it."It looks fake." "It's over the top." "There's no psychology they're just doing moves." These are criticisms you can apply to pretty much any company at any time throughout the history of pro-wrestling, including companies Cornette was booking. It all looks fake. It's all over the top. Most matches don't have great psychology because they're two people who were dumb enough to become pro-wrestlers putting on a fake fight. We suspend disbelief and enjoy the thing despite itself. Every once in a rare while we're rewarded with something that's good and looks real.
>>19894834He's a really good worker, and seeing how far Trump derangement syndrome and Tony derangement syndrome has taken people it's believable enough.
>>19893582>Yeah Tony's toy fed is shitnah it's actually excellent
>>19894855dubs confirm
>>19894468smart wrestling fan does, and after having checked on it now after a few years, they still do a good show and dont cry about politics and identifying with victim narratives every 2 minutes
Cornette talks about interesting shit. He did a massive dive into comic book collecting from the 70s on a recent one.The actual discussion of today's wrestling is a chore for him and Last that they dance around it for 4 hours and look for anything BUT modern wrestling to discuss. But any intelligent person would have worked that out by now if they're still listening. If you're listening for actual wrestling analysis I'm not sure what to tell you...

Hey guys maven here. And today im going to clasp and unclasp my hands 50 times before i once again, talk about the time that i drop kicked the dead man himself, the undertaker, and eliminated him from the royal rumble.
>>19895757Maven is a true crime youtuber now. Ya gotta love the mavester brother ya just gotta
>Every thing in AEW sucks, blah, blah, same complaints over and over >OOF, Brian! That’s not a good rating! >Only watches occasional WWE main events and then bitches about not knowing what’s happening on the show >Meltzers star ratings: He gave THAT five stars?! OH C’MOOOOON!>If there’s an actual interesting topic he’ll touch upon it for five minutes and then the rest is a fifteen minute ad>Politics Cornette is only worth listening to when he’s talking about the past and even that’s few and far between nowadays.
>>19893582Same here
