>pre hogan and attitude era boom>wrestling was a niche and difficult profession and the pay was shit>attracts former athletes, people who understand the business, people with good physiques etc.>post hulk hogan and attitude era boom>WWE became global and the pay and glory increased>somehow 99% of the people who want to become wrestlers now are ex-basement nerds who want to emulate their video game bangers, have shitty physiques, can't talk and can't drawI don't get it. You'd think wrestling becoming more popular than ever would attract even more of the kinds of people that built it but it ended up doing the opposite.
>WAAAAAH wrestling was better in da pastshut the fuck up boomer and stop shitting up the board because you have no other new thing to fill the emptiness inside you
>>19896048Despite the pay becoming a lot better for the big stars it’s still pretty shitty for the majority of wrestlers when you take into account the workload and travel if you are making your way through the indies. Many other sports are a lot more lucrative with less work. Even becoming a fitness coach and getting into that area would be more appealing to me.
>>19896048it's like puff daddy said, they don't want talented people because they're harder to control, mediocre guys like Cody and Seth are the ideal
