>Powerhouse Hobbs is 41 years oldWhy does WWE keep buying old junkers when they have perfectly good wrestlers under 30?
>>19897260>Tommaso Ciampa is 40 years oldWhy does AEW keep buying old junkers when they have perfectly good... oh wait, they literally don't have any good wrestlers under 30 KEK
My thesis is that with age comes maturity and older people know how to "act" and make it the Hollywood-like production that Netflix is looking for.
>>19897277>Hollywood-like production>It's just commercials and literal dogshit slopkek
>>19897260because both WWE and AEW will sometimes sign people just to make sure that no one else can potentially draw a dime with them. case in point, when AEW signed Kamille, who was the NWA's top female at that time. they gave her a few easy wins to build her up, jobbed her out to kris shitlander, and then benched her. that was in october of 2024, its been a year and 3 months since AEW used her at all. tony didn't want kamille, he just wanted to deny dimes to a competitor. I suspect that WWE signed Hobbs for the same reason.
>>19897300its such a waste when almost the entire main eventer roster will retire in 5 years. shit LA Knight is now fucking 43 and still hasn't gotten much done. Why bring in more older wrestlers to job?
Because there's no one new, and I shit you not, no one sees wrestling as a stairway to fame, a good job or a way to make great money at least, new generations see the current shit how bad it is and it just ain't worth it. Exception being the marks of course but as you can see, all they do is make the product more and more niche as time goes by.Back during the 90s and 00s sure there was a lot of money and fame to be made so people got interested in it but now?, lol
>>19897531dom, logan paul, trick williams, bron. id rather watch those guys than most wrestlers
